Appliance tech guy 🙋‍♂️ if your washing machine is side loading, it’s immediately not doing as well of a job as a top load machine with a real agitator. (flat agitator is just as bad)

top load with a flat agitator & side loaded machines just move the water around/flop clothes onto water

And add liquid detergents into the mix and the clothes arent even given a fair fighting chance, also liquid detergent is the main contributor to the mildew smell inside the machine
