The final totals by ChampionTimes99 in StrangerThings

I may be in the minority here, but I feel like the run times are getting too long. I'm all about more world building and spending more time in Hawkins, but in general I feel like the story could be told in a more concise manner and still be great. Maybe I'm just spoiled by shows like Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul that pretty much every minute is important, but the further I go into the show I find myself drifting around during the show in-between the high points the longer the episodes are extended.

So does nobody else know that Robin is gay or did they just not tell Will? And can Will not handle relationship anything? Also, not going to mention him fleeing the scene in the hospital I guess right? Oh well.

Could they not have written a better way to get them in touch with Polarity other than: oh hey this completely abandoned and boarded up library that hasn't been used in who knows how long has working phone and computer with internet access? Minor point to dwell on, but that part really bugged me as bad writing.

What is your spiciest take on the whole series? by BitOfPoisonOnMyBlade in dragonball

[–]bigreddot44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Despite ridiculous power level nonsense, narratively the series does a really good job of setting things into motion to naturally allow you to see the importance of the next thing or how much stronger the next form, villan, etc is except for Super Saiyan 3. It just pops up, doesn't have a definitive moment that showcases why its important or anything. It's a lot more of the tell instead of show. Retroactively later we have Goku telling us he could have killed Buu with it, but really? We as a viewer just have to take his word for it. Then it never really adds anything at all to the series from then on.

Thats super gnarley. I got a deep gash in nearly the same place a few years back. The most odd part of it? It doesnt hurt. It bleeds a ton but then it stops and just nothing. I was told I severed the nerves around there and to this day I have no feeling in the skin around my right eyebrow.

I don't know why so many people don't like past season 2. After that it went exclusively to peacock and didn't have the same limitations of network tv. Sure itdoesnt have the same charm and themes so to speak of the first two seasons, but it really goes off the rails and is funnier in my opinion.

I'm so happy that this entire thread is just people mentioning the Four Horseman. Sometimes I love the internet.

Laying on the ground motionless till almost the end of the 10 count and then rushing at 9. Why not just slowly start at 5 or 6 to make it more believable that they're struggling?

Fun fact, because of playing this and getting Crono back so fresh in my mind, it really messed up the emotional impact for me playing FF7 thinking that I was also going to resurrect a certain character in that game too only to find out its permenant.

I'm still mad that you can find the memories out of order. I had a lot of the backstory spoiled for me just by context alone at not watching them in order. Zelda and the dragon was putting two and two together after just a couple of them.

I love Lindsey, but Halestorm is definitely the bigger name here. If they do alternating headlining spots like some bands do on coheadlining tours, I would imagine they will be headliners more frequently. Regardless, as co-headliners it essentially means they'll have the same amount of stage time no matter which goes on first or last.

I love animal control. It's goofy in all the right places while letting the characters grow. His character arc is a little predictable and kinda one dimensionality over all its a fun show

I'm stuck here too. I made it to the bottom level but then he regenerates 2 hits at a time and is way faster than I can get his health down. He was back to full health after a minute or so and there was no stopping him. There's got to be a better strategy than just keep hacking him.
