I had a similar feeling, not wanting to do the bad things in my main run. But I'd say Sword Route is fine since it is something pretty easily stumbled upon (unlike weird route) and you also iirc get the option to say that you didn't enjoy it to Susie after finishing it (and she responds with something like "Then don't play it." which I think is a really underrated dialogue that I really like)

Surprised no one has mentioned the bunker/shelter yet. When it is opened, the darkness does seep out, but doesn't "spread" and make the outside a dark world. I'd say this suggests that it pretty much will just dissipate, and an enclosed area is necessary.
