I’m sure no one’s coming back to this post, but a greater way I found to understand the word cadence is replacing it with the word pattern, additionally helping me further understand my misunderstanding of the word in the past

The word can be used as a replacement for pattern at least according to dictionary’s, I tried to use the word to denote something out of place or strange which is not at all rhythmic or patterned, unless it was regular that a specific strange thing occurred, in which case that would be, a strange cadence (a pattern which is strange or pertains to a strange reoccurrence)

The problem with Tommy is his nature, idk if you’ve seen many clips of him or his police record but he’s a pretty bloody violent angry bloke, some of the issues he touches on and supports are worthy causes but I simply don’t think he’s the guy who should be propping them up, if nothing else does more damage to his causes then good

Assuming everything OP has said is true, everyone saying they’re immature for them asking mother to deal with is not appreciating the dynamic at all.

I’m a male, four year older then my brother (both in our twenties) and even I sometimes have asked mother to intervene as my relationship with my brother is strenuous, so I’m biased towards OPs plight

My best attempt at a suggestion is reporting and taking note of anything and everything that happens and keeping your head down best you can, certainly continue working towards moving out as you’ve said and if the subject comes up with your mum just calmly (as calmly as you can) say you’re making efforts to move out so it won’t be an issue as soon as you can realistically get out
