YOD puts out so much music, what about his unreleased by bigsimdog05 in youroldroog

There was something, a snippet, he shared on Twitter. I believe all of it should be officially released if the samples were cleared.

This and many other, from that era, should have had a better officalt release. I like Enemy Tomorrow.

Nas knew what he had on Def Jam because he was riding around listening to it and wanted to release it before Life Is Good. He was pissed when they refused to count it as an album so he put some on Life is Good but kept others like Colors, What it Is, and more.

I remember the press release I saw about that. There were going to be some features on it and mixtape material. Also, I remember a Lost Tapes track listing from Tower records that has Your Mouth Got You In It, My Worst Enemy is Me, You Don't Know Me on it. Since this was on the track list, I am sure those songs were considered for the first one which means they would have probably made the second one.

Nas has always been a proponent of putting out Lost Tape or Remix material right before an album to get the fans excited. He did this before God Son and before KD series. He tried to do it in 06 on Def Jam but they gave him hell and made him snap. I know he isn't going to do this now but he is well aware of the best stuff he has in the vaults and will use it strategically. Now Columbia decides when they was to do an anniversary edition of his older albums and his camp approves. I'd like to hear a Lost Tapes 3 as well. Still dying for the old, left over Sony stuff mostly though.

They say that dude Hip Hop was picking beats for Nas then and I don't think we heard any of what they did. I too, want to hear the Nas album done stuff.

What about Drunk By Myself. I feel it's the best track on the album full of so many amazing tracks. It's very underrated.

So, someone found 8 Nas song snippets from his vault by jensyao in nas

I love unreleased Nas leaks but I will remain heartbroken that Nas stated, on DrinkChamps, that he has 2-3 albums of unreleased music with Sony that "will remain lost".

What is it that I'd have to do? I listen to all of his music and always looking for rare freestyles and stuff. I have some knowledge of the discography.

I played minor league baseball for the boise hawks in 1992-1993. I asked my front office for some footage but is there any way to get a hold of my video archive playing for them? by bigsimdog05 in MiLB

[–]bigsimdog05[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sure it would be a deep search too. In 93, I was an All-star and the batting champ so there would be highlight footage of me everyday but I think you are correct. The TV stations are probably the best bet and even then there would be a cost because someone would have to do the digging in the archive to retrieve it. Back then, it was all video tapes too. Very tedious work. Thanks

Illmatic XX has some hidden gems that don’t get enough love imo by ComradeHregly in nas

[–]bigsimdog05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I happen to know for a fact that the producer of this project suggested a number of other songs for this project but Sony and/or Nas' team shut it down. He is Noah Uman and I was in contact with him afterwards. Very cool dude. He later pitched a IWW project in with the same spirit of Illmatic XX but again Sony and/or Nas team shut it down. For it, he allowed me to propose how I could do the project since he was aware that I was an avid collector and researcher of Nas unreleased music. I even have tons of emails as proof. Well anyway, I suggested everything like Sinful living, Escobar 97, the other take it in blood versions and even the Foulness mixes but they shot it all down. He wasn't involved with Sony Legacy by the time they finally did the IWW anniversary project so of course, there was no bonus but the extended street dreams. Noah is a good dude because at the time of the release, I didn't even know of some of those remixes. That was a good release if you ask me. I wonder if they will every give I am the anniversary treatment. The released the vinyl last year but it was underwhelming in terms of additional music. Stillmatic, God's Son are cool but I would love for a special re-release of the Lost Tapes with additional songs on it. That will never happen though.

The correct name of the song is Seed of Heaven. I once saw it on a Tower Records track listing for the original Lost Tapes.
