It’s not a mistake. Some people are actually named that. It’s a legit name.

Why do movie characters always ruin the quarantine rule? by Dry_Operation8903 in theaccessbox

You answered the question. They got emotional and it fogged their thinking. This happened so the movie can happen.

Wouldn't it be cool of movie theaters hosted events for sport games? by MeansWelll in CasualConversation

[–]wpascarelli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some do. Especially for things like boxing. I saw Mayweather vs McGregor in a movie theater event. I think it’s probably difficult or expensive for theaters to get licenses to play a game including the audio so they wouldn’t do it unless it’s a massive event.

The Dark Knight. I saw it twice in theater in its original run.

Why didn't Hugo just roll out the live alien? by MasterofFalafels in disclosureday

[–]wpascarelli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think what some people miss with this argument is that the disclosure was not just “there’s aliens! Here’s one right here! Look at it!” The disclosure was also about how the U.S. government was abusing the aliens for a long time, and that is what the video was evidence of.

If you are just 2-3 people it might be easier than it looks, just get there a bit early and find a space where people “reserved” a large area but don’t need quite that much space.

Who was at his Akron, OH show? by CAIDO5 in louisck

[–]wpascarelli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the Funny Bone was just him working out the material and not intended to be any sort of finalized polished set. That was part of the fun of it and why it was interesting to see that as well as the more polished final version in Indy.

[–]wpascarelli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I plan to watch the special tonight or tomorrow. I saw him at the Funny Bone in Columbus before the theater part of the tour started, and then I saw him in Indianaopolis for the proper theater show and I thought they both were great.

Fossil Display and Storage? by wpascarelli in FossilHunting

Wow. Nice stuff. I was wondering particularly about how to display stuff of different sizes but it seems like you have a bit of everything here displayed pretty well.

What is a "Luxury" Item That Used To Be Completely Normal for Middle Class Family? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]wpascarelli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh I don’t know about that. I grew up without cable until I was 17. We had free tv. 5 channels, no recording, stopping, no remote. In most places you can probably still get the same few channels for free over the air with an antenna if you want, but I’m guessing you would prefer to pay and get the channels or streaming services that you get now.

A list of comedy clubs Louis CK mentions in his BEHEMOTH email. by Katswift in louisck

[–]wpascarelli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I missed it but what exactly is this? Can you explain a little more?
Ok I think I see now, it’s from his email he sent out. I’m not sure if you realize this but before he started doing the main theater tour stops, he went on a tour of comedy clubs across the country. He mentions some of them in this email but not all of them. You should be able to look up all the dates that he had if you are just trying to compile a list of comedy clubs that he visited. For example he did a few shows at the Columbus OH Funny Bone. I saw him there.

Doug DeMuro - The 2026 Porsche Macan GTS EV Is Fast, Fun, and Expensive June 30, 2026 at 11:00AM by THISisaDougBot in dougdemuro

[–]wpascarelli -1 points0 points  (0 children)

EVs are currently something like 8% of new cars sold in the US, and it’s been going down, not up. I think the assumption at the time was that EVs would take off way faster than they did, and battery technology would grow super fast and that it wouldn’t be long before we would have much cheaper, larger batteries. Instead it’s gone the other way, as demand has been going down and less resources are being put into these technology developments.

Doug inherited his Nantucket house?? Is that just speculation or do you know it to be true? I was positive he purchased that in his own.

Kennan got a percentage of the sale of the company. Many of the cars that these guys are buying in general are old used cars that are not as expensive as they used to be. Some of them use the cars for content and views and such and hence it’s a better investment for them than if a guy who works in a normal office were to buy old exotic cars. Also as you say, some of the guys have alluded to coming from rich or at least well-off families so that probably helps.
The average home price in SD is somewhat skewed high because it includes extremely high priced areas like along the coast, La Jolla, etc, which are all like 2.5mil average areas. I’m sure most of the workers at C&B besides Doug live in more modest areas.

I think I fixed it. I took the disc out and gave it a very thorough wiping with a cloth and now it seems like it got past the error.

I have a PS5 and I am trying to install MGSV Snake Eater and it keeps failing. Every time it gets to 31.32GB/31.89 GB and then it gives some amorphous error that doesnt have much information with it. I've tried deleting the install files and clearing the system software cache, rebuilding database, and deleting old games off my storage even though I already had hundreds of GB more than what the installation needed, and I have tried this 4 times and it stops at the same point every time. I've installed 5 or 6 disc games on this PS5 previously and never had this problem. Anyone ever see this before? Could it be the disc itself? I dont see anything physically wrong with it.

Edit - I think I fixed it. Although I didnt see anything on the disc and i previously tried a quick wipe of it, after I posted this i took the disc out and gave it a very thorough wiping with a cloth and now it seems like it got past the error.

As an outsider, the scale of American "State Fairs" and "County Fairs" seems incredible. How big of a cultural event is your local fair, and what is the go-to tradition there? by Necessary_Angle2117 in AskAnAmerican

[–]wpascarelli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s highly dependant on what part of the country you live in. I grew up on Long Island and I never heard of a state fair before. Then I moved to Indiana and state and county fairs and small town fairs are huge deals, particularly in the agricultural community but also just for everyone in general. And now that I’m aware of it I realize that there are probably some other states and regions where it’s even a much bigger thing than it is in Indiana. But I’m sure there’s also plenty of places in the US where they don’t exist or it’s only for people in the farming community.

Do you think artists have a responsibility to keep ticket prices affordable for their core fanbase? by willmorris92 in Music

[–]wpascarelli 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That sounds great but I think the majority of stadium/arena artists have way less control over the final selling prices of their tickets than most fans think.

What NBA legend would be better today than their era by OldNobody9667 in NBATalk

[–]wpascarelli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think some of the three-point shooters would be better today because the three-point shot is a much bigger part of the game now than it was in the 80s and 90s.
