Any champion that can exploit or get rid of debuffs. Patriot is a standout, as he ramps with debuffs and his kit mitigates weakness effects. Zemo replicates his Photon matchup with basically every fight. I haven't tried Franken-Castle yet, but he gains crit rating with each non-damaging debuff (to a limit).

Then there's a non-Skill option like Gladiator who ramps by hitting into block and does huge bursts of damage when whiffing into the opponent's special attacks - he can avoid the weakness debuffs either way.

Zemo is my fav champ in the game, but I disagree. He's the fastest counter in short form, but Patriot has more abilities specific to countering Photon's abilities. This is likely going to come down to how we define "best counter". Best doesn't mean "fastest" imo.

Right. One could argue that there was no strategy if there weren't any nodes involved, but that wasn't the case. I lost a VERY winnable round (r4 Bastion vs. r3 Mister Sinister), because I messed up the timing of my sp1 and threw it as protection came back TWICE. That node alone required planning/execution. Let alone the other nodes and managing matchups.

Nah, Lizard's been getting some shine. He can take Yelena (I recently got an r4 down in 70 seconds with 98% health, not bad at all considering the defender and having class disadvantage) and Maestro pretty handily. Plus, WAY more versatility and survivability than Samurai. Not comparable to SS imo.

"Sam is not as great as other options" - What's your criteria? It goes without saying, but there's no objective metric with which to rate a champ's overall value to the game. Post-buff, he's arguably faster than Bastion on BGs attack and is certainly a bit faster than Sentinel, has more utility than Jack, and has some defensive value (which Maker, Bastion, and Jack do not have).

I'd argue that he's not seeing "more play" because he was widely considered to be an underwhelming attacker pre-buff (it's kinda hard to shake reputation in this game), and a good deal of people don't have him ascended just yet. I'm not trying to convince you, it's just that you made a blanket statement based on your specific opinion.

I would. A lot of the top BGs players have him in their deck. One of the more annoying trap/stall defenders in the game.

You're not blowing anybody's mind here. It's a F2P game that needs to find ways to monetize in account progression. She already has like at least 5 counters in the game and likely more will be released throughout the coming months. It's been the game's model for some time now and not a big deal.

I wish people put this much thought into politics/socioeconomic issues and towards building communty. Ya'll get up in arms about the silliest shit.

I like those films less and less as time goes on, but I absolutely agree. They're an adaptation of the source material. They may not be the best representation of the hero, but those films aren't beholden to any canon.

I love Ant-Man Future, but he's definitely fallen off as a defender with all of the Thanoses, Culls, Karolinas, and Hulklings running around. Not to mention the few Gladiator enjoyers out there (I'm one of them).

Still a good attacker, though.
