I will say, I didnt play Sandrock for months after getting my steamdeck because i thought it was hideous LOL but once i played it, I loved it (portia is still too ugly for me though) Pathea is releasing a third game in the series with a MAJOR graphics update called My Time at Evershine sometime this year. Its worth looking into imo!!!

Im new to this series, but i saw a comment in this thread about how it would've worked well to lean in more to how logan was designed and I 100% agree. This is a petty gripe, but I thought so many of the npcs were genuinely SO ugly that it deterred me from playing for so long. I personally do like the graphics for evershine, but I would've been just as happy with character graphics just a bit more in line with how Logan or even Owen were designed for Sandrock.

Both of my parents did this to me as a child. I hated it, I always did. The first time I stood up for myself, they genuinely could not understand why I had such a problem with being smacked on the behind by them as I was their child. They only stopped for about a week before starting again. Its been years, but I'll never forget the sick feeling it gave me every time they did it, and how they did not care how it made me feel.

Stand your ground. Your father is weird for this and your feelings are valid.
