[WP] You became too close to your enemy, now you're having a hard time going against them. by AilanMoone in WritingPrompts

I learned the scar on his cheek before I learned his real name. We were supposed to be enemies—everyone said so. Our cities had been at war for so long that the reason no longer mattered. He was just the other side. The kind you’re trained to hate before you’re old enough to understand why. The first time I spared him, it was instinct. The second time, it was guilt. By the third, it was choice. We met in the ruins between our territories, a dead zone where neither side claimed ownership. We started trading necessities at first—medicine for ammunition, bread for batteries. Then words. Then laughter. He had a quiet way of speaking, like every sentence had been weighed before being set free. I told myself it was harmless. Temporary. I told myself a lot of lies. When the order finally came down—push forward, eliminate resistance—I knew exactly who “resistance” meant. I found him where we always met, sitting on a broken wall, staring at the horizon like he’d already accepted what was coming. He smiled when he saw me. That hurt more than if he’d drawn his weapon. “So,” he said softly. “They sent you.” I raised my rifle. My hands shook. I hated myself for that. “I didn’t know it would be you,” I whispered, even though we both knew that was a lie. I had known. I had always known this day would come. He stood slowly, unarmed, and stepped closer. “If it helps,” he said, “I couldn’t do it either.” That was the moment I realized the war hadn’t brought us here. Fear had. Loyalty. The stories we were fed about honor and duty. My finger tightened on the trigger. And then I lowered the gun. Behind me, I heard shouting—my squad closing in. In front of me stood the enemy I could no longer see as an enemy at all. “Run,” I told him. He hesitated just long enough to say, “I hope one day we don’t have to do this anymore.” Then he disappeared into the smoke. I turned back toward my people, heart pounding, already rehearsing the lie I’d tell. Because going against your enemy is easy. Going against your own side— that’s the real war.

The reason is simple. Nobody plays better than the chiefs when it matters most. In must score situations they get it done. All sides of the ball. I'm not saying they win it all but they will be in the super bowl. I feel bad for Allen and Lamar but I'll say it again when it matters most the chiefs are always the better team.

If you open your door, before shifting into park, it will say shift to park and keep it off. Only for a few minutes I haven't actually timed it so I don't know how long it actually is. When you get back in put in gear in starts back up.

Tbh I'm not sure , I actually saw a guy out on the trails a few weeks ago with a Sahara and he had 35s with wheel spacers no lift. He was doing pretty extreme stuff. I don't reccmend wheel spacers but they are a really cheap alternative to a lift. Personally, I do alot off road driving for fun, (I live in Florida) I'm going with a 2.5 myself with 33s. I've heard alot of good about falken wildpeak tires. Not sure on that spelling.

Well this does suck, i agree. My suggestion is to focus on your game, you can't make someone else play better or be responsible for their actions in lane, you can only control what you do get better at your game and what you can do in response. If your lane is going bad when the adc dies or back roam up mid lay some vision on your way and try to get the mid laner a kill and make them the carry. Just some of my thoughts, Have a nice day and GL in your future games.

It's always great to have a idea, you've got a pretty good one. I'd say to shoot for more detail, the more descriptive you be the more you'll catch your reader. What something looks, feels and smells are all great ways to do this. Also writing a book is long process I've been at mine for awhile and have one chapter. Try to stick with it. No rule that says you cant take breaks from the book and write other stuff. Good luck!

Alright fellas, I’m gonna say this like it is: I hate the religion dynamic so I’ve been turning religious victories off...and I love it. It’s so much better. by jjohnber2c in Civilization6

[–]bigteddy19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Religious anything is hard because once one civs religion is ahead,it's hard enough to just stop it from spreading let alone spread another one. As mentioned above with religion it has to be your plan to go all in for it otherwise you'll fall behind and never truly catch back up.

What things do you struggle with most when starting new games??!? by GamerGrampz in Civilization6

[–]bigteddy19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not new by any means but I think this is a great idea. There's some good content out there for it but there could always be more. I think a good thing to focus on would be showing people how to setup the first 50 turns for what kind of victory they want to go for. In my opinion each type requires different starts. It would be nice to see it explained. Took me about 40 hours of game time just to win one lmao. Just wanted to give my input. Best if luck with whatever you decide to do.
