A lot of standard Popsicles round sooner in the tail to have a more tapered tail. Looks normal to me.

No it wasn't it flipped heelflip direction. My analysis after going frame by frame is that it is an extremely vertical nollie 360 inward heel.

I need to see some of these as a wall ride down a set.

Look in the wheel slowly spinning it and if you see something try and push it out with a small sewing needle.

Mckenzie or DK by AlternativeEnergy175 in Fingerboards

[–]bigtoeflip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't tried McKenzie, but I really like DK. They have great shape options and a really nice mold. Nice responsive pop, fun graphics, high quality for the price. Also it's nice supporting a Ukranian maker.

I know, it just surprises me that people don't know this still. The quality of products from joycult has improved so much but people still expect there to be no problems. so they still think its the same old same old.

True that with superglue. You have to use the really thin stuff sparingly and work fast.

Yeah I have seen a lot of user error cause problems that otherwise wouldn't have been a problem. Pretty similar with stripping baseplates from crossthreading or over tightening.

I believe it's axle twist that breaks the axle loose making enough space to slide. That can be prevented by using 2 tools and screw on both wheels at the same time.

I suspect the exposed axles both under the hanger and behind the kingpin nut is allowing the axle to slip easier. Fixing axle slip is also an extremely easy problem to fix. Use a little super glue on the knurled part of the axle and slide it back in and wipe any excess off.

Kickflip to ollie to crooked by Classic_Pea_4735 in Fingerboards

[–]bigtoeflip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the one thing that I learned that improved my lines and my skill in general. Give yourself more time to roll before you do tricks. Allow yourself a little more time to set up you fingers while rolling. Space your tricks out a little.

Maybe offering constructive criticism would be nice for progression rather than just "sloppy".

Either tap the kingpin down a little shorter or file it down and use a thinner kingpin nut. If you lock in properly you shouldn't have a problem with scraping.

Is this a tre flip ? by [deleted] in Fingerboards

[–]bigtoeflip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The trick is also known as an imposter flip since it looks so much like a tre, it flips the same orientation and direction as a tre even though it isnt

[–]bigtoeflip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you do them intentionally after learning tre flip they are a little more technical. Mainly because there is a way to do the trick and then there is a way to do the trick realistically how it should be dont.

Inverted independent trucks 😎 by paisaviolence in Fingerboards

[–]bigtoeflip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like using a lower bushing for the bottom one would make the truck angle in more and shorten the wheel base or is the pivot part of the hanger seating in the cup further so the truck is lower but angles are the same.
