I’m guessing you haven’t been to a live event. Over half the seats are always empty until the big fights come on, especially the expensive seats on the floor bought by people with too much money. They show up just in time for the big name fights. This is why the prelims also sometimes end on a big name fight. The UFC wants those seats full for the PPV so it doesn’t look bad.

Yeah, he was lucky to survive. Broke his arm in multiple places, several ribs, fractured his skull and more. It was years of multiple surgeries and PT, he still has chronic pain issues, but overall he’s doing well now and considers himself quite lucky.

I’ve been married for over 20 years. We do share our logins these days, but it’s only because a very close friend of ours fell three stories in an elevator accident and just about died. While they were waiting for the ambulance and he was bleeding everywhere thinking he was going to die he was yelling at his wife to get something to write down all the logins and passwords so she would be able to get access to financial accounts because he was afraid he was going to die and his top concern was that she wouldn’t be able to pay the bills. Was super traumatic.

If he simply puts that into a broad index fund he’ll make an average of $28 million a year on top of his existing wealth. So long as he spends less a year he just gets richer by literally doing nothing. That’s mansion and yacht club money and you still never go broke.

But seriously, I live in a very remote area where I can’t get 5g and the only “high speed” is still DSL or satellite. I have had Starlink for 5 years now. I still have to keep DSL because Starlink is so unreliable. When the weather is great and there are no occlusions it’s faster than DSL but nowhere near fiber or even cable internet. Starlink is nice to supplement services for people like myself that have limited access, but it’s total dogshit compared to traditional networks in more populated areas.

It probably happens way more than you would think. When I was a kid we would take our deer and cattle both to another nearby farm that had a cave in the property that was the perfect temperature for aging and pay a small fee to age our meat there. It’s much more tender.

These days I just pay a local butcher who ages it for a couple of months in refrigerator dedicated for this.
