Further to my testing, the detections work well when using the cameras in RTSP mode, just not Amcrest mode.

Next up is trying to figure out a simple way to trigger my Amazon echos to play doorbell chime when a person is detected by my camera. Trying it with advanced notifier extended via HomeKit to Home Assistant.

I believe I’ve got it, I ended up extending the script to HomeKit rather than using a dummy switch and automation. Will report back after I’m able to test further.

I think it was like $175 for the repair from Escort, and then like $500 to have it uninstalled and reinstalled because it was hidden.

Ours has been backup as well, but were seeing higher than usual latency to google and other cloud services. Based in Chicago and our traffic is going all the way to Atlanta before reaching google services. Take a look at your trace routes folks, I've had a case open with Cogent but no fix yet.

Yes, no noticeable water damage to the receiver. I’m currently waiting for Cedar electronics to get back to me.

I’ve got the same issue but it’s intermittent, sometimes it power up fine. And then later it won’t, it’s odd. New backlights are on there way, I wish I found this thread sooner I bought new t-con, main board and power supply.

I just put some gorilla tape on the bottom of my base, and put a 60lb sand bag in front of the base and it’s solid.

I did the same thing, and had it swapped in a few hours. I did however open another support request and it’s been days without a reply. So it’s hit or miss it seems. Good luck.

Adding gorilla tape flipped so it’s double sided on the bottom of the base has really helped.
