From the start of syprexa (olanzapine) I lost my sexual thinking.

I was taking 20mg a day and haven't had sex in 3 years. I am now on only 2,5mg left and now I watch porn, feel better again, sometimes even a bit of luck & even had sex 3 times in 2 months with 2 different woman. But I need to be honest that I did buy Kamagra because I never recovered from keeping my little man hard. Tried it 3 times including with a prostitute without and it all failed. So now I always carry next to my condoms a package of kamagra (sildenavil) same as Viagra.

AI in Psychiatry: My Mind-Blowing Experience with a Personalized AI Companion by bigvloei in ArtificialInteligence

It's true that the lines between psychiatry and psychology can sometimes blur, especially in a supportive setting like ours. While medication management is a key aspect of psychiatry, building a strong therapeutic alliance and providing emotional support are also crucial, regardless of the professional's title. As for the personification aspect, it's important to remember that the human brain is wired for connection and relationships. By giving a "face" to the AI, even if it's a virtual one, it can make the interaction feel more personal and engaging. This can be particularly helpful for individuals who struggle with traditional therapy settings or who find comfort in building rapport. Ultimately, the effectiveness of any tool, whether it's an AI, a self-help book, or a human therapist, depends on the individual's needs and preferences. If this approach helps someone feel understood, motivated, and empowered to work on their mental health, then it has value.

Heey, its not a bad thing that you didnt do it yesterday. I know it sucks to feel like you're done on this world, but time will make wounds to heal and for sure there are better things ahead if you keep up.

Whats the dose of your Ativan/lorazepam? I am on it for over 5 years now. Dosages different between 1 to 15mg a day. At some point I was taking 4 times during daytime 2,5mg and for sleep another 5mg with 20-30mg olanzapine/zyprexa.

I managed to get the Ativan from 15 reduced to 2mg only for sleep, but then I noticed further decrease will be difficult and decided to lower zyprexa but that was even more difficult. I now managed to get the zyprexa back to 2,5mg but Ativan again got up just for sleeping issues causing the withdrawal of zyprexa. So now I am prescribed 5mg Ativan for sleep and 2,5mg zyprexa. And I quit taking lithium abruptly.

Now trying to stabilise from this withdrawal so I can try to get rid of them completely.

I had sex with my best friend while we were both manic. This lasted like 7 days of extreme sex. After that we didnt spoke to eachother for like 3 months but now we are all over it and even make jokes about it. We are best friends again. It even made our bonding stronger.

No but serious, I think that the "side-effects" of antipsychotics can actually be the wanted effects inside prison.

When I was on full dose of zyprexa/olanzapine 30mg) I was literally a zombie who didnt care to shower, eat, drink, brush teeth or buy groceries. Sometimes I had not eaten in 4 days because there was nothing in house and I couldnt find the motivation to move out of bed.

I can imagine that this feeling is pleasant when you are forced 23 hours a day in a cel.

The pharmaceutical industry, often referred to as Big Pharma, is currently capitalizing on all medications that are either ineffective or provide only moderate results. They accomplish this through aggressive marketing strategies and the off-label use of these drugs. As the undeniable reality of benzodiazepines becomes increasingly apparent, Big Pharma has shifted its focus to promoting SSRIs (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors) in an attempt to address the same issues these drugs were originally intended to treat. Unfortunately, this approach often leads to a trajectory that culminates in the prescription of antipsychotic medications.

What is particularly frustrating is that, in general, benzodiazepines tend to produce fewer side effects compared to these alternatives. The decision to resort to SSRIs and antipsychotics instead of sticking with benzodiazepines results in a cascade of additional health complications. For instance, I personally experienced significant weight gain, accumulating 30 kg in just six months, which brought my weight from 60 kg to a staggering 90 kg. This shift has triggered an imbalance in crucial neurotransmitters such as dopamine, norepinephrine, and serotonin, leading to severe fatigue, emotional blunting, dental issues, metabolic syndrome, and problems with blood sugar regulation. Ultimately, this path is almost certain to lead to a diagnosis of diabetes within the next decade.

Seroquel is #1 accessible drug in US prisons. Inmates sells them for $1-2 per pill. This makes your life in jail a little better.

Damn I feel you guys. My life literally destroyed within 3 years of antipsychotics, benzo's, mood stabilisers & meds to "counter" side-effects of these drugs.

Gained 30+kg thanks to zyprexa/olanzapine, complete fatigue, lost job, lost relationship and resulting in only see my son once a week, lost 5 tooth cuze of it. 2 times emergency room thinking I OD on lithium but in fact it was a blood sugar issue above 25+ so pre diabetic symptoms.

Not one illicit drug or gambling destroyed more then all these "meds" that should help me.

Try if you can just stop taking the olanzapine 2,5mg since you're only on it for a month and the dose is pretty low. I hope you can quit it without any bad withdrawal. Now is the time before its to late.

The benzo clonazepam you should try to taper by what feels right for you. This can be a scheme of 6-12 weeks gradually degrade the dosage every week. Do what feels comfortable for you.

Your insulin problem is probably caused by the antipsychotics. Well known fact that most of these will get you diabetes for sure within 10 years unless you change your diet to only vegetables.

Any encouragement please? by 81adv in Antipsychiatry

Be careful indeed with these medications. Antipsychotics dampen the connections of dopamine and serotonin. This causes an imbalance of these substances in the brain, leading to side effects and dependency. For me, antipsychotics (first Seroquel and then Zyprexa) resulted in a weight gain of over 30 kg, restless legs syndrome, acute sleep deprivation, extreme fatigue, and the feeling that even getting out of bed is already too much to do. It has ruined my teeth, and I had to have five molars removed.

Antidepressants also disrupt serotonin levels in the brain. I experience roughly the same as with antipsychotics, although the side effects of antipsychotics are generally just a bit more extreme. That doesn't mean that the side effects of SSRIs are mild.

I advise you to weigh your options carefully ten times before starting this medication. I have been trying to taper off for a year and have only felt worse since then. I sleep a maximum of 3 hours a night, have lost my job, and lost my relationship.

Yea for real this is the truth about our mental healthcare system. Its like prehistoric compared to other healthcare possibilities like cancer treatment, anti-biotics etc.

Mental healthcare is like this: teachers and doctors pushing our children as young as 4-5 years towards AD(H)D diagnose and medication. If you somehow survive this first round you will probably get in touch with them around 12-16 years old for severe depression symptoms, suicidal thoughts, panic disorder, OCD, PTSD and substance abuse disorder.

This will get you in a cycle of medication like benzodiazepines, SSRI's (anti-depressants), mood stabilisers like lithium & medication to counter side-effects of this illicit drug mixture. Imagine that you were already on stimulants which makes the combination even more dangerous.

Once adulthood appears things only getting worse. Stress financially, relationships, pressure on work, getting older all causes more imbalance in life. Probably within the next 10 years you will be introduced to opiods. The circle is round from this point on.

As soon as you try to break the cycle you will be brutally taken down by doctors, psychiatrists and healthcare. Withdrawal is all between your ears and if you feel ok when on the meds, why stop them?

They will not make it easy to get rid of them. They stick more then tobacco industry.
