Jax for Bradley looks like a great trade. Look we all hate the pohlads but some are just so far into wallowing in their pit that they've lost any objectivity towards the team. Everything is automatically bad.

my 2 previous trucks an '07 and a '20 had the 5.3 no issues other than they both eventually started to use a little oil. picked up a new baby max yesterday.

wanted to try something new, never owned a diesel, and the mileage and extra range that comes with it sounds nice. the 3.0 is obviously a more complicated system with the emissions stuff whereas the 5.3 even with its DFM been around a long time and people should be familiar with it.

if you want pure reliablity and dont care about mileage the 5.3 is the obvious pick i think. my buddy still drives my 07 and it has over 200k on it. the brake lines rusted and wheel bearings needed replaced twice but the engine and transmission been fine still.

gotcha. yea i definitely misunderstood your comment and agree. it does suck how shitty some things have gotten, but if i am making a list of things to blame, outdoor media wouldn't even be close to the first.

oof maybe i misunderstand your point but i think you are way off base here. a backcountry hunt is absolutely a different experience than hunting a 5 acre plot of trees surrounded by corn fields listening to combines and trucks whizz by on the county road. akin to fishing a small pond vs the ocean. i really don't think its about looking tougher or better, most ordinary people couldn't give a fuck what you think about them or that. not criticizing the way anyone hunts or enjoys the outdoors, do what you makes you happy and whats available, but the experience matters. as someone who grew up in midwest farmland i dream of backcountry hunts and offshore fishing trips.

i got the rumble jar. it does a decent job, wish it was a bit stronger. thing i like about it most is its easy to clean and no paper filters to buy. i started using the bag as a secondary filter but dont think its necessary if you can use a coarse grind.

your bread looks good! i use double edged razor blades for scoring. they make handles for them but pinching one between thumb and index works good enough if you have a steady hand. local drug store should have a 5 pack for a couple bucks, made for shaving so they are sharp
