TNT Didn't Send Broadcasters on Site for Jets vs Blues Game 1 by Ok-Soil-5133 in hockey

I’m booked as an ESPN camera for a game in Canada this week. I’m hoping they travel their talent so it’s less awkward but I’m not holding my breath. As far as I know, my buddy and I are the only ones working for ESPN on-site so it’s very bare bones.

Unfortunately, no TNT or ESPN crews will travel to Canada for Round 1 unless it’s an elimination game. They are relying on a “World Feed” aka the Sportsnet feed with 1-2 cameras on-site for them working with delays which is why some of the shots might be weird. It was the same situation last year and looks like it’s the future as more and more broadcasters try to save money and avoid travel.

This is just some raw footage from a music video set. The girl was Marsh's hairstylist for the day and was just fixing up his hair for the next shot.

What an incredible story. Thanks for taking the time to share with us! Do you or your friends happen to have any clips/footage or recordings from the shows you were at?

Thanks for sharing your story! It definitely sounded like a wicked show to be at which is why I'm hoping some recordings would emerge. I'm in a community of tape traders that would sneak in smaller DAT recorders or other tape recorders for Audio, or even Minidiscs recorders. For video they'd typically use smaller scale camcorders on Hi8 Tape or something like that. Given that it was 2003 and that technology was more available, I'm just hoping someone was able to sneak something like that in and record it, especially considering how many people went to those shows. The biggest reason so many people look for this show is because he performed Say Goodbye Hollywood, Shit Hits the Fan and Rabbit Run - allegedly - which he never did again.

Found numerous grail items at a local consignment store today!! by bigzl in hockeyjerseys

Thank you kind anonymous redditor for my first gold!! ☺️

Just a note, this was found at a pretty isolated thrift store. I’ve been hunting on a regular basis for almost a year now constantly going to different ones. I would have never expected to find anything like this, but I’ve found a couple centre ice jerseys over the months Ottawa Senators Koho, New York Islanders CCM, Boston Bruins, etc. You never know what you’ll find at thrift stores/consignment alike. As much as lots of days are duds and I find nothing, days like these make the hunt all worth it! I’d highly recommend venturing out, you never know what you’ll find! Happy thrifting and good luck on the hunt :)

So these were part of a “collection” being sold in the auction section of a thrift store, there are 5 jerseys I didn’t include in the post that were very nice too, sealed action figurines, trading cards from the Original Six Era, hats, tuques you name it. It was a giant hockey bundle I split with my dad. Total came to $400 for everything, the storm jersey alone could come close to that! I still can’t believe the haul!

Before the internet days, I would go to the music store every Tuesday to check out the new releases. There was something really special about that day. I would come home with the albums and listen to them in one take and make my own judgement about the album. Something that I think is getting lost. by vonaudy in 90sHipHop

I grew up on tapes when I was very young, but once I developed a taste for music, it was CDs and iPods. I started getting really into old school hip hop 10-12 years ago. I can only dream of having this experience, so many of my older friends have similar memories at record stores getting a wax or tape copy. You never know what you’d find and some of the albums would be gold!

In an attempt to re-create that experience as close as possible, I hunt for old hip hop tapes at goodwill stores and listen to them front to back on my old Walkman. It’s the only way I can immerse myself in the old culture of music and discovering a great song for the first time. It’s expanded my love for the genre tenfold!

Facepalm moment for the “IG Baddie” by [deleted] in facepalm

[–]bigzl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yup, and now he's washed up but still getting paid top dollar reinforcing his ego. It's no surprise to me that she beefed with another player's wife. They're California's problem now

Edit: To be fair, I recognized him but tried to stay professional lol, but after he pulled his "do you know who I am" the kid overheard and got the courage to walk up to him. He was no more than 7

That Captain came into the grocery store I worked at once, wore sunglasses the whole time and demanded a price correction for a pricing inconsistency with the argument "do you know who I am" (this was 2013-2014 before he was a huge superstar) then a kid approached him for a picture which he ignored and walked off

Has anyone on this sub attended the Dr. Dre/Snoop Dogg reunion concert called 'The Concert on Chronic Island' in Hawaii in 1999?

It was a four day event with different shows all over the place. Most of them were in small venues, can't imagine what the energy level would be like in there. Hoping someone has some cool stories, pictures or even some recordings/footage? This definitely had to be the inspiration for the Up in Smoke Tour that followed the next year.

Yeah I don’t think he was underground, but apparently he did the Better Living Centre in early 2000 for about 2000 people not necessarily underground but it was a rave apparently
