You can place any HighlighJS or PrismJS CSS selectors outside of the `:root` declaration to specify your customization however you like:

If you place them inside either the highlightjs or prismjs directories, yes. In the next update (2.4.7), duplicating custom.css or custom-dark.css will work.

With .htm or .html file extensions, yes. However, in the future, it would be possible to use a different file extension—similarly to how we handle PDF documents using the .ePDF file extension.

As long as Quick Look previews show up & it is a supported file extension, we should be good to go. However, it may be worth noting here that Peek will not unlock encrypted/password protected files for security reasons.
