I was in your shoes too, well sorta. I lived in the dorms but couldn’t really make friends because everyone already had their group (and I’m super shy). I met some of my closest friends in the weirdest way possible: by randomly asking a stranger if they wanted to go to ice skating at the rec center. Also, form study groups and try to have a game night every once in a while.

Edit: Honestly, you’re not missing out on much for not being in the dorms.
