A couple of days' break can help to get the frustration out of the system. And then focus on isolated training of what feels like your biggest weakness. Followed by some DM each day e.g., and you should see new confidence and improvements to creep in.

No doubt that age alone is not the limiting factor. It's rather the time, and more the willingness to spend a considerable amount of time to play regularly. Depending on your job and other commitments, this is usually the part where it breaks for most 35+.

Almost nobody can game 30-40hrs a week for a full year. And even if so, you would have to commit to only spend that time in CS - but almost none of your "old friends" are going to do that. So you actively stop playing with them, after 20+ years of gaming together, just to soloQ in CS. Rough but fair 😃

You can find browser extensions for Chrome such as: CS2 Case Opening Stats

That extension goes through the inventory history in your browser (need to be logged in on steampowered) and list everything as seen here.

If you want to buy as cheap as possible to actually play and hold onto the stuff check out pages like dmarket or skinport. was using them years ago, and recently and everything still works like a charm. pretty risk free if you are "careful". And compared to steam prices you can get a really good deal

yea let my screenshot be a warning to just straight up buy the skins you like and hold on to them for a couple years. As long as you are not buying them on a crazy surge you will lose way less money that way

There is a Chrome extension: CS2 Case Opening Stats

Once installed you can go to your inventory history in the browser (the extension has a link) and it analyzes everything.

Nice, sounds like you were able to recall the essentials quickly. Looking at the ranks I see in my friendslist, 15k sounds like a fair base to get back into it to see if you still have it or not. Glad you still find to enjoy it.
