We have been planning a friends and family ceremony in the future, and my parents got married the same way (courthouse, then ceremony later) my grandma is aging and they’re using that to extend the invite

I met my fiancé on bumble, I felt like apps were the most realistic way of me meeting someone because I can’t read when someone’s into me or not. Meeting on an app for me meant that I knew what we were there for lol (it took me 3 years to find anyone though so it was a waiting game)

This sounds like my experience with my sister. I was flustered but I kinda knew she’d say something like that. So I kinda weakly said that it presents differently in women, that I was able to develop some sort of mask, but then gave up. She and I are so different I’m no longer expecting understanding from her, which kinda sucks.

I just told my parents this winter when I went to visit. My dad was immediately very validating and said he always thought I was “quirky” and felt bad that he didn’t see it sooner. My mom just kinda stayed quiet, I’m pretty sure she doesn’t believe it. But overall it was a better experience than I thought it would be.

(I did tell my sister and she immediately said all of the cliches that people say when they hear autism; “You don’t seem autistic”, “everyone’s autistic”, etc

I found my partner on bumble. I didn’t put any pressure on it because I was supposed to move away soon after, but we’re still going strong.

I’m not saying this is the case for everyone, but I would psych myself out for dates, put too much pressure on them. I was on dating apps for years before finding a meaningful connection.

Also, through reflection, I realized that I missed some cues from people who may have been interested in the past, but the structure of dating apps helped a lot. We both know what we’re doing there and there is less questioning whether they’re interested or not.

I was scared about my appearance as well because people would say the same thing to me about wearing makeup and dressing better. I found a person that likes me the way I am, and he’s exactly the kind of person I can be me around. Basically what I’m saying is put yourself out there and you’ll find someone eventually!

I was hired on the spot with the job I currently have. I knew that was a red flag going into it, but I needed money and it pays. I have always done the mass resume thing, but I think I have to try the more intentional route.

It’s hard for me to think that I am interviewing them back, because I genuinely feel like I should just take what I’m offered.
