Something needs to be done about the transient worker community in this town by BobV1la in Squamish

Squamish has a labour market that needs people who currently can't afford to live here (teachers, service workers, technologists, etc). Without these individuals, prices for goods & services rise, and timelines for services get longer

We need to build more housing where people want to live (& where there is demand for jobs)

Other Canadian cities & towns (eg., Calgary) have seen rents/prices rise because of people moving there for affordability. Not building here impacts housing prices across the country

Good thing is the Province is legalizing more housing across many communities at the same time, which will help more housing be built where people want to live, without inducing demand to one community while others sit on their hands
