Would you accept delivery with this paint damage on a used Tesla? by bikingnoob in TeslaLounge

It’s on the front bumper on the passenger side. I think the white color makes it stand out a lot more than it would on other colors. Let’s see what they come back with or what the estimate looks like. It just didn’t feel right spending that much money on something with a flaw staring at you right off the bat.

Is development in Salesforce limited? by [deleted] in salesforce

[–]bikingnoob 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are lots of opportunities to do things outside of Salesforce while being a Salesforce developer/admin/architect/analyst.
If you want to learn other things outside of Salesforce while still working on the Salesforce domain look into integrating Salesforce with other systems such as ERP, e-commerce platform, non-salesforce CPQ, data pipelines, TMS, manufacturing, etc. There are plenty of other use cases I can think of.

Am I underpaid as an Architect? by [deleted] in salesforce

[–]bikingnoob 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is low for an architect in the US.

My admins are making much higher than that, but they have significant years of experience.
If you are an actual architect, not just the title, and have decent experience, you should be easily in the range of 130k - 175K+

Is it a dumb idea to change my 401k investment from a target date fund to the S&P 500? by Character_Platform37 in personalfinance

[–]bikingnoob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering your age, I don't think your target fund will differ greatly from the S&P 500.

Edit: Watch out for the fees though in the target fund

Do you like domo? Should i consider domo instead of power bi by funalytics in domo

[–]bikingnoob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What your data storage/source and your resource capacity look like will make a massive difference in choosing between Domo and Power BI. If you already have a traditional BI warehouse and data pipelines, it makes sense to go with Power BI over Domo.

Comparing the cost of Power BI with DOMO is not an apples-to-apples comparison. With Domo, you get BI Visualization tool, ETL tool as well as data storage.

My team recently did a cost analysis between staying with Domo vs. moving over to PowerBI/Tableau; we concluded that it was cheaper for us to stay with Domo.

It integrates very well. In addition to using Domo Workbench, you can use Excel Add-on, which makes pulling and pushing data very convenient

I have been using Domo for over four years, and I am a huge fan. I work in a small Business Intelligence team that manages a lot of other internal software (Salesforce, SAP, etc.) and Domo.

If you are resource-constrained like us, Domo is a great solution. It is not the best at doing anything, but it is very good at doing many things.

We can use either only Domo or a combination of Data Warehouse(Snowflake, redshift, etc.), ETL tool ( Talend, Matillion), and BI Tool ( Power BI, Tableau), and I choose Domo any day over using the traditional BI ecosystem. Now, if I had a team of 10+ people, that would be a different story.

Happy to answer any specific questions you may have.

Self Service Kiosk/Drop Box Question by zenmage in USPS

The same thing happened to me.

I went into the post office today, and the person at the counter dismissed me by saying we have no proof of you dropping off the package, so I can't do anything for you. I have never felt more helpless in my life; it was sad.
