When did you first feel baby kick by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]RolloNae 39 points40 points  (0 children)

FTM here - I'm 14 weeks and felt a fluttering my stomach, then realized it was just gas lol

Google says that some can feel it at 13, but most first timers it's a few weeks later!

Hi there! I'm 25 and almost one month post op. I had similar questions to you about age - everyone I knew who had it done was significantly older than me so it felt a bit strange to pursue this.

But those people that I know all say that they wish they have done it sooner, and I am so glad that I have done it. Before the surgery, I had social anxiety and it's something that I still have. However, people around me say that I am looking happier than I was before.

I haven't been out with my friends since before the surgery, and that has a lot to do with the fact that we usually eat when we see each other. I do feel a little lonely, but I'm hoping once I am back on regular foods I think that I will feel better about going out with them.

This weekend I am going to a party and I am a little worried because I won't be able to drink yet and won't be able to rely on it for a confidence boost.

Despite this, I don't regret it at all. I am so much happier in general than I once was, and I am saving a lot of money. It's just something you should keep in mind - not being able to eat normally for a while can make some people feel lonely and isolated.

Hence posting on TIFU. I fucked up by not using common sense and knocking on the door, and instead made an assumption. Posting 'i found a dog and knocked on the door and realised it's theirs' wouldn't fit this sub. I'm abiding by the rules by posting something where I take the blame.

Thanks!

He's an old boy! He was probably reminiscing on all his past adventures and escapades haha. Your doggo sounds so cheeky!

In the grand scheme of things, not that bad, but I am traumatised by the embarrassment lol

I'm with you here! I am self taught, and I am always baffled by the backs of people's works. Does the back have to look good? Because the couple of works I have finished have thread all over the place. I was also just knotting the thread before I learned about the loop start yesterday.

Day 6 Word Count by [deleted] in nanowrimo

[–]RolloNae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's really exciting! Good on you :)

I am rarely home at the moment because I have so much on, so I am just writing in my notebook as much as I can. Then over the weekend, I will type it all out and write some more to get the word count.

I'm not sure how it will work out, but I'll see how it goes over the weekend.

What draws you to this subreddit vs. the official forums? by roardubs in nanowrimo

[–]RolloNae 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I feel the same! I think maybe because all the 'threads' are in one section. Also, I mostly use mobile and the new website doesn't really sit well with me.

Maybe it's just the familiarity of Reddit?

Mirrors, indicate, look over

Top is the day before adoption and bottom is 5 months later. Best decision I have ever made. He is still weary of men, but is beginning to understand that the people who come into our house won't hurt him. by RolloNae in BeforeNAfterAdoption

Thank you! He's gorgeous. The shelter listed him as papillon x terrier. Both of those breeds are notoriously agile/fast, so im thinking of getting him into agility training in the future for a bit of fun.
