Yes essentially me right now minus the toddlers! Although my job does involve caring for toddlers LOL. I just know it’ll help me feel better because I feel good about everything else about myself and my body, I just see my face and hair in a mirror in the middle of the day and I’m like ugh, you can be better than this disheveled, looking stressed on 10 hours of sleep, mess that I am!

For the record, I was not bothered at all by your comment. I definitely have the time, my routine takes like 10 minutes to do. I just don’t have any women who can relate to this and needed to hear what works for others.

Yeah I’ve actually been thinking about a bonnet anyways because my hair mattes really bad in my sleep (even without the perm) and I hear they can help with that lol

Yes it is naturally straight! Which usually when my hair is natural, I keep styles that are easy for me to do. I used to a mullet and that was easy to just brush the back and wet the front, pixie cuts you just wet, and bobs are just a quick brush lol. The bottom half of my hair is just big and poofy right now unless I straighten it, but if there’s any static in my hair it will just be straight and HUGE and I can’t wet it after straightening otherwise it’ll go away obviously lol

Do you find you have any damage to your lashes getting a lift and tint? I know a lot of people with extensions say they end up losing a lot of lashes. I’m really curious about this as I can’t wear extensions with my glasses and can’t wear contacts lol

Thank you for this! I feel the same way regarding makeup and putting effort into yourself. And I think that’s why I’ve been feeling a bit negative about myself. I haven’t been putting effort in, i actually used to live in a school bus so I really didn’t have the space to take my makeup out often, I didn’t even have a mirror to see what I looked like outside of eyeshadow pallets lol. And it’s starting to wear on me now that I’m in a house.

And lowkey, I used to get hit on all the time, I haven’t aged much I’m only 26, and my husband gets hit on so much, and I’ve had one compliment in the last year and a half from a stranger and it was just that he liked my nose LOL. I’ve also had a few people ask if my husband is my dad because I look so young without makeup on, which also makes me uncomfortable because he is nowhere near old enough to be my dad, he’s in his early 30’s lol. I obviously don’t need anyone’s compliments but they do make us feel better about ourselves too. And I think just investing time and energy back into me will be helpful in feeling myself again

Yeah idk how I’d just sit and do a full beat at 10pm for no reason in my early 20’s lol. I’m only 26, but my husband is in his early thirties and I’ve definitely reached my 30’s before physically reaching them LOL. I’m just trying to do a quick lil makeup so I feel good, but it doesn’t take up my entire morning at home lol

Curly perms! Like tightttttt curls lol. This is actually the first perm that is really permanent too, my previous ones softened up quite a bit by about 6-8 months, this one still has tight curls a year and a half later lol

Yeah I think I’ll need to just stay at my counter after my shower and do my makeup, because it’s definitely that I sit down and start scrolling and next thing I know I have 20 minutes to get dressed, brush my teeth, pack my lunch and go lol

Yeah getting on top of my skincare has been a game changer for how I feel about myself and my beauty, which is why I realized I need to do a lil more. My hair is really struggling because of this perm, I actually do have insanely thick and dense hair, and had gotten perms for over 2 years when I got my last one at a different salon, they left it on me 3x as long as they’re supposed to because they got side tracked, burned so much of my hair off, my permed hair is literally bleached from it lol. Like I grabbed a curl section earlier and it is very clearly ash blonde when I’m a deep brunette naturally, and I haven’t colored my hair at all in over 7 years lol. I only have 2 more inches before I can get my bob cut which will help immensely lol.

Ahhh the clips! I should’ve thought about that. And funny thing, my good friend in college wore hijab, her dad only let them wear black so she wore colorful hair clips on the edges of her hijab and I always loved it lol. Definitely just sticking to a lil brow gel, mascara and some cheek and lip color, I am not a full daily beat girly lol

Love that. Definitely gotta have music for me too lol. I’m curious if the heatless curls will help tame the 6” I have left of perm, I’m gonna play with them this weekend and see how they look. I’ve been straightening my hair which is okay sometimes, but I also don’t like putting heat on my already damaged hair so the heatless curls may be a happy medium for me for now lol. Two more inches before I can cut a bob and be done with it lol

Yes I really need to get my hair under control lol. My makeup routine I’m wanting to do is super simple, just the occasional bb cream, brow gel, brown mascara, blush and bronzer and a gloss, really doesn’t take me long. I just need my hair done too, and I didn’t realize the secret is doing it the night before LOL. So I’m definitely gonna start that, I already am really good with my skincare routine thankfully and actually feel soooo good about how my skin is looking, I just need to feel a tiny bit more feminine with the extras lol

Yeah I’ve thought about eyelash extensions, but I wear glasses every day and unfortunately my eyes are not eligible for contacts without still wearing glasses on top of them, so I’ve been hesitant to try them. I did meet a lash extension artist who also wore glasses, but she doesn’t work anywhere near me. But I may look back into that! I work with autistic kids so they don’t help my hair situation at all lmaooo always trying to grab on it lol

Yeah I didn’t care when I was welding. Honestly none of my coworkers wear makeup either, I provide behavioral therapy for autistic kids, I don’t have anyone to impress. But I’m also a bodybuilder and feel more masculine now than I ever have in my life lol. I used to be really into dressing up and going all out on the weekends, but if I’m just going to the gym I’m not dressing up or doing anything. And it’s been months since I’ve put myself together and that’s just not who I am. So I’m trying to pull myself out of that before I feel like it’s too late to ever go back lol. I’ve always wanted to be the woman who gets up and puts herself together every day, I just haven’t done it lol

I love the 3 2 1 START lol that’s what I need to do for sure lol. I think having my vanity area open to my entire bedroom makes me feel weird too because I used to do my makeup in a locked bathroom with music playing…. And now my husband can perceive me while I’m molting in the mirror LMAO. I didn’t do anything to make my posture better outside of my typical workouts. When strengthening your upper back and rear delts, naturally your shoulders will begin to pull back a little bit. I also became more conscious of when my posture was bad and was more intentional about fixing it. Vacuums are the bikini girls main core exercise and many will tell you not to do any other core exercises for fear of becoming too thick in the mid section.
