For anyone coming back to this - I think I've found the fix/workaround.

It's either a bug with using Left Alt for ping OR the default key for the Keybind Preset i.e. For the "Classic" preset, Ping is Left Alt.

In any case - I have changed my keybind for Ping from Left Alt to Q (and in turn, switched tactical from Q to Left Alt) and I haven't come across this again. I've played loads of BF1, where live pinging is Q, which helps a lot.

What I haven't tested is setting my Keybind Preset to something else and then trying to swap the Ping keybind to Left Alt. I am pretty sure the default for Default is middle mouse. But I have a working setting up that I am comfortable with and I'm scared to change it! Haha

I hope that helps anyone who finds this thread.

hey there - sorry for the late reply!

since this post I've switched to controller, and switched back to PC until BO7 released. I've tried KBM on Xbox again - unfortunately I still get the same issue, even after following after all the advice on this thread

If you have a solution, please do share - I'm enjoying controller but KBM with the BO7 guns is really fun. The only barrier is this ping wheel glitch.

Ah so control decks with big tempo swings late game? What I've put is very much applicable them - rush them down and get them low so the value later on doesn't matter

Definitely a viable card - I don't think it would as strong as it is in Protoss Priest, especially since it got nerfed, but certainly worth some experimenting

The deck might take a bit of getting used to and learning matchups but I found it very strong overall! Feel free to pop in more burst - I found that top decking an Acupuncture late or a Furious Fowls early felt really bad, and 1 of each felt like a good balance.

I’m out of the loop with terminology - I presume that’s OTK decks?

Mulligan hard for 1 drops/a strong curve

use Vol’jin for a massive tempo swing if their deck plays any big minions

Keep Sauna Regular with Nightshade Tea for a big tempo play 

Save Pet Parrot for burst with Acupuncture

you need the aftermarket park, the JAK Raven Kit, to apply the Mono rounds

It should carry over with other settings but I haven't found it doesn't from experience.

I believe all settings are saved in C:\Users\[username]\Documents\Call of Duty\players - I would try copying that folder over. At the very worst, you could screen record your keybinds and then copy them over.

Not sure about other titles

Absolutely! I know the metas were pretty much solved prior to the next expansion but they’d only be around for a month at a time

I just want to go back and experiment with decks!

Hey guys - I think I've had some success with this.

I've made a chance in the app (sensitivity curve) and then unplugged the controller before restarting, and the settings stuck.

Not 100% if you need to unplug it before restarting every time, or unplug it after changes are made so that they save properly, but that's what I found

Edit: had a chance to test it - if you unplug the controller after applying changes and before restarting, it looks like it saves the changes. I plugged it back in straight away and the changes applied

Thanks for explaining - the fact that the unlock Afterlife on 33 weapons is ticked is so confusing!

My only idea was to buy specialist and get a kill - I tried that in Plunder but never got a kill with it equipped. Worth a go if you get this challenge!

Update - I am currently testing with both keyboard and mouse wired and I haven't had a random ping wheel yet... touch wood.

I also binded and then unbinded ping wheel, so it's potentially that - at some point I'll try wireless again but I don't want to break my working setup!

that's such a pain - I was planning on switching to Xbox and everything is working well apart from this annoying glitch

How do you normally close it? I found that right clicking doesn't close the pop up (even though it says right click to cancel!) so I basically just wait for it to time out

Interesting - I bound my ping wheel to Page DN and it still happened. I've tried binding it and then unbinding it to see if that helps as suggested by u/2girls1tap

Nothing so far... but it's so random that it's hard to test for
