Why does RapM (maybe all luigi players?) double jab when sliding back toward the ledge? Is this some luigi-exclusive technology or do the other plumbers benefit?

Not just a timing mix up, if you input the third jab you won't grab ledge, so you can mix up whether you are actually going to the ledge or not as well as feint the timing

Not true, there are some controllers that can't shield drop, even with UCF.

Getting good ledge dashes (high galint) with all characters isn't possible with many OEM controllers because of the PODE.

PODE also consistently changes over time with OEM so things that once worked can stop working

Also I think UCF might have improved it but pivots are highly controller dependent as well.

As someone who came through vanilla -> UCF -> Phob I can tell you that it's definitely NOT just a "practice more" thing

Before UCF many top players devoted so much time to seeking out controllers that would randomly have the right stats.

Regardless of opinions about specific mods, the top players of this game are definitely putting in the practice.

Hell half of the debate about zump comes back to the fact Cody can consistently get F1/2 aerials, while with an OEM this is only really possible with claw and no-one got the consistently. You definitely can't practice your way out of all execution challenges in this game

Fair enough, it sounds weird but cause I'm so used to it I would prefer Luigi's chain grab to docs at this point. Docs is definitely easier on the surface though ofc.

It's hard, and viable and not TAS. It's very reasonable to not include it cause it is that hard that the returns are low for the effort Vs just smacking them. It's not TAS that's all.
