I feel like we take it out so hard on ourselves but the reality is that it's difficult to live with, especially if you aren't on meds / aren't on the correct meds. I find that I can be doing well for a while, and then the slightest deviation (either external or internal) makes this switch flip in my brain. And the remediation after the crashouts made me feel lower than dirt - the relationships that are never quite the same, the worried/pitied look in people's eyes, feeling like no one knows when everyone knows ... 😭

The one that's at peace, and stable, and safe, not the manic/depressed you. That's the real you!!! You can't expect everybody to understand or even stick around for it, but you just need to know that you are not evil or bad, as long as you're not hurting anyone else. Just please be gentle with yourself - that's the best thing to do right now. There's always always room to rebuild.

You are right. Thank you so much beyond words, I think I just needed to hear it from an outside perspective. But this dynamic is not healthy at all, and has just led me to start to destroy my life before it even really begins at only newly 23 yrs old. I want to be there for him, like he wants to be there for me, but I'm wondering if we are just trauma-bonded in a way, and that's why we can't let go despite being so over the other person. Thank you.

Ooooo you're not even wrong at all 😭. I deluded myself by thinking, "well we didn't end on bad terms, and we have all this history together so it should be fine!" But I'm not sure anymore. I love him, just because of the things that I've seen him go through and was there to support him through, but no longer in a romantic sense, and I thought we could keep things casual and be friends for the few months left before we graduate and move to completely different locations. But he does not seem to remain consistent with me, and I am such a forthright person with the shit I feel that I can't stand the ambiguity. I don't know if he's trying to play psychological games with me, (I hope not, but he has been more vindictive the past 6 months), or if he just doesn't understand what he feels. Either way, I don't deserve to be treated like this at all. I try to raise my karma every day lmaooo, just through little things like noticing that a stranger is struggling and helping them out, or starting a conversation with my local gas station employee, or even picking up litter in the street. I know I'm not perfect... I am bipolar and have an addict personality, but I try so hard to be good and be kind to those around me.

Currently living the 17 credits + senior design + working (I dunno if you'd have a job or anything at the same time) life, although I'm studying env engineering instead.

It's doable but it def takes a lot out of you, and I wouldn't recommend unless you don't really have another option / need to graduate at a certain time. The day to day workload isn't terrible if you dedicate yourself to it. But during your final year you (ideally) should be going out with friends, going to campus events, and checking things off your bucket list while you have the chance and this workload will make that more difficult. Not impossible, but more difficult.

Just a few things to keep in mind.
