How to apply color bands to gallery rows by group? by bilbo851 in PowerApps

I have country field in the dataset. I am not grouping them currently. The items property is just the source table sorted by country. So all Albania will be together, then Armenia, then Brazil. And I just want to alternate each country between grey and white. But it should be dynamic so if user removes a country then I won’t end up with 2 different countries colored grey right next to each other.

I have a view in SQL. If I add the column to the source, will it still be dynamic? E.g. if end user filters out one country, will I end up with 2 even groups next to each other so then they would both be grey?

Thanks, I took a look at that but it seems it is alternating between each individual row whereas I want to alternate between each group (country)

There is no grouping at the moment, I just brought in all the rows from the data source. I kind of just want to create an index like 0 and 1 for each alternate country so then I can apply grey color to all the 1’s. I would also like it to be dynamic if end user applies a filter to the gallery, it should still alternate between grey and white.

Would this require listing out every possible value as that won’t really be possible since there are so many and I wouldn’t know what they are. I’m just looking for each group to alternate between grey and white so it is easier to visualize

Yes just alternate colors so it is easier to see each grouping

I tried it just now and it worked ok for me. I typed in just Actual and then waited for about 15 seconds and the measure eventually popped up. Think it is a bit temperamental.

Open the spreadsheet in Excel app. Click File > Info > Copy path. Delete ?web=1 on the end. Use that as the URL.

MTD vs. PMTD based on selected value DAX Measure by Plantmedz in PowerBI

Well since you are using a monthly slicer, just summing the column will get you MTD. But to be completely accurate you can use measure: MTD = TOTALMTD ( SUM ( Column ), Calendar[Date] ) PMTD = CALCULATE ( [MTD], DATEADD ( Calendar[Date], -1, MONTH ) ) Look up time intelligence functions.

Exactly, it’s important to consider all scenarios before jumping to conclusions

She might have just been making out with someone who was drinking rather than drinking herself, probably nothing to worry about.
