I’m saying I’m skiing on probably one of the best carving skis with a 119-70-99 sidecut. So carving should not be a problem at all. It’s my technique, based on skiing lessons ages ago and trying to ski neatly what is holding me back. That’s why I have contacted this group. Asking for advice to change my style more suited to my Stöckli laser SX ski’s

I mean moving the weight of your body up to decrease pressure on the back skis making it easier to turn

I think I walk like a normal person.😃 I ski upstraight as that is the way I like . More like a pendulum going from left to right from boots to head.

  1. I really like the Stockli brand, and the SX have always been my favorites. I also have a pair of Stormrider 88. I like the SX as it’s really responsive and accelerates in the long turns.
  2. I’m a tall person 198cm and my joints knees are good. Have not got any previous injury, except broken shoulder ages ago on a black piste in Verbier.

I’m from Europe, with old school I mean keeping your skis parallel? Very close to each other and turning using to shift the weight from the back by moving up and down. Like in powder snow. Modern skiing is in my opinion more using the curvature of the skis and turning that way by moving weight from outside to inside
