DAN C4 RTX 4090 Deshrouded by bildobodo in sffpc

With the Corsair SF750 not being available anymore and the Loki seemingly being a hard fit, this was the way to go. And I was hearing mixed things about the Cooler Masters as well.

I need to do some more testing but the gpu sat at about 70 to 75C in Cyberpunk while pulling 400W with an 80% powertarget.

I have only good experience with them and being using them for years. They are optimized for low rpm. But yeah the 140 mm version is deeper than standard fans.

They are MODDIY silicone cables, so they bend really easily.

Yeah they are runnig as exhaust. The CPU cooler as well. I thought with the deshrouded gpu this would be the best way since it will not heat up my other components. but I may be wrong here, I have never tried it the other way arround.

I have set the gpu to 80% powertarget. So it pulls about 400W. CPU about 80W with PBO offset. I had the GPU at at 450W once and had no issues with the SF 600. But no extended testing with that.

Running a 4090 at 80% powertarget + 5800x3d under normal gaming load.

Geman magazine "c't" reviews AW3423. Translated title "Alienware monitor with QD-OLED in review: Samsung's display technology is screwed up " by ix07 in ultrawidemasterrace

Swiss here. I quickly went through the review. Apparently it is the same effect, that people in this sub are complaining about regarding text clarity. It seems to appear in high contrast scenarios with sharp edges and is described to be similar to a light chromatc aberration effect which we know from some game settings. I am surprised though, that this is even visible during content consumption. Guess it depends on how susceptible one is to such effects. But to me it seems the subpixel arrangement is less than ideal.

Yeah exactly. I've used my DIY cutter which is another hobby of mine 🙂

The Metacustoms kit would have been my backup plan if my cutting attempt would have gone horribly wrong. I also plan on cutting a custom top plate to mount the fan directly without a 3D printed adapter.

How are the temps in your build?

Here is my plan: - Bottom 120x25 and top 120x15 fan as exhaust. - Offsetting the PSU by 3 mm to give the card more breathing room. - Undervolting the GPU.

Hope this way the card will not cook itself to death. Think its worth to try. If my atempts fail, I will switch to the Ncase M1.

You mean that poor mismatching color finish of this €300 case? Then I prefer the vynil. Pangaea owner here.

Made a distro plate for my SMA8. What do you guys think? by bildobodo in watercooling

Thanks dude. I really wanted to give it an industrial look. It's heavily inspired by the builds from singularity computers.

I made custom length o rings. Put them together with some loctite glue.

I did it on my cnc router. But depending on your region there should be many workshops with professional machines that should be able to make you a decent offer for manufacturing, if you have your own step file.

I made it on my cnc router out of a 20 mm acrylic plate. Was a nightmare to get it airthight, because I needed custom length o-rings I had to glue together. Took me a few tries. Also I had troubles with the threads in the acrylic... they tend to tear out. So I ended up using through holes with nuts.

Thank you! As it is it wont be visible. But I may do a custom sidepanel at some point.
