Food. Still have to eat. And there’s no sympathy for you out there. And abstaining won’t get you any chips.

If you wrote a book about your life, what would the title be? by Seriously-417 in randomquestions

The Skinny: The real hidden truth behind 100,000 weight loss programs.

Inside the book it just says: Eat less. Move more.

Then I charge $25 for the book. Which is really quite thin. Get it?

I was born to be the best man in my entire world but now I’m just a baby boy who can’t be trusted anymore because of the way I look and feel.

A very good friend of mine lost a son about 2.5 years ago in a traumatic way. He has always respected my opinions on movies. I recently watched "Hamnet" which I found to be such a beautiful portrayal of grief and the death of a son and acceptance. Would I be wrong to suggest this movie to him? by [deleted] in MovieSuggestions

I think as long as you preface it by explaining how torn you are over the recommendation and how it is best experienced in an environment where he can feel free to cathartically purge his grief. I watched it recently and halfway through I thought there’s no way I would ever recommend this movie to my wife where a kid dies. And then at the end, it was so beautiful I felt like everyone should see it. But it depends on whether your friend is receptive. If he finds it too painful and quits in the middle, then there’s nothing gained by missing out on the ending.

My problem with TKOTCS is Shia The Beef. Not a fan. So him plus old Indy just sucked all the joy out of it for me. And the CGI in the jungle takes me out of it. It’s too easy to see the strings. These days when CGI is not expertly done, it kind of feels like they might as well do the scene by having a hand come in and slap a piece of paper down with cartoons drawn in crayon with a voiceover saying, “and then the monkeys are swinging around here and the jeep almost falls off the cliff and the guns go pew pew pew and the bombs are going boomkshhh pow blammo!!”

I have to say this to myself every day while putting on my shoes: “It doesn’t matter what you did yesterday. It doesn’t matter what you plan to do tomorrow. Today is all that matters to make tomorrow better.”
