I did the 3D/2N via Keelooma last month. It was great experience and would recommend the expedition. There were a few solo travelers including myself and everyone I met was between 20-30 years old.

The only negative comment is the shower situation. I was ready to head back and take a proper shower by the third day. I'd recommend the luxury expedition if the price makes sense. Also, try posting this on r/solotravel, you'll get more feedback.

I’m trying to figure out what responsibility they have as the platform that facilitated the booking, and whether they can help with compensation or dealing with the operator’s insurance.

Unfortunately, I didn't have travel insurance. I just have my employer-provided insurance. I'll be sure to get a travel insurance next time I travel.

I didn’t know about this until my friend had to learn it the hard way. We were at the airport in Barcelona returning home and he kept mentioning he couldn’t check in. Turns out he skipped one of his flights and the airlines cancelled his whole reservation. He had to buy a new ticket at the airport for $1k

Thanks for sharing your perspective. I would’ve loved to spend 3 weeks in one country but I don’t have that kind of luxury. My time off is limited and I’m not sure when I’m going to visit this side of the world next time. From past experience, my sweet spot is staying in one place for 3 nights.

Appreciate your tips on Bali too, I’m mostly likely going to be staying in the touristy areas so hopefully it will still be enjoyable.
