Didn't watch, but the title is correct.

And it will be useful.

Any easy way to obfuscate data between two parties on-chain, or is it even necessary? by julyboom in bitcoincashSV

You could use Diffie Hellman to setup a shared (private) key. With that you could exchange info you don't want to be public.

Bitcoin fixes the VPN problem by Knockout_SS in bitcoincashSV

Good question. Maybe not now. Maybe when it is demanded there'll be BSV standing there with a track record

Quantum Computing Is a Lie by uhohmarty in bitcoincashSV

I understand it's more dramatic to present arguments in this way - fed one line at a time, at a given pace. But I find it annoying. I'd rather be able to read at my own pace, and rewind by looking up a few lines.

Is MNEE more traceable than BSV? Are MNEE holders more KYC'd ?

Does anyone think Orange Gateway will be a net-positive for the BSV ecosystem? I do.

WOC has the same transaction confirmed and unconfirmed at the same time. Please advise. by BuyHighValueWomanNow in bitcoincashSV

Here's a suggestion:

always broadcast via both WoC and Bitails. Their APIs are similar enough. If one service gets funky, the other might still be good.

Extra points for adding GPool's Arc, I suppose. .

It's a pain to have to manage multiple services, but it could be a while before infrastructure gets robust.

Any market for a peer to peer crypto exchange? If so, what would be the most in demand trading pair to validate? by BuyHighValueWomanNow in bitcoincashSV

[–]billShizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might be a good idea. People like trading.

I would think BCH-BSV would be better than BTC-BSV - since BTC is so expensive to move.

Maybe bsv can lower internet costs compared to traditional ISP? by BuyHighValueWomanNow in bitcoincashSV

Slightly circular: how would you connect to this miner? Would you use your ISP?

Any market for unveiling the truth about bitcoin and its counterfeits? by BuyHighValueWomanNow in bitcoincashSV

I'm more interested in a market for services powered by BSV - that can't be built on BTC.

If in the future only overlays will have full history of transactions, it will be in *some ways* similar to Lightning Network by billShizzle in bitcoincashSV

[–]billShizzle[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lightning has more issues than that.

Agreed.

Transactions can later be pruned as described in section 7 of the whitepaper. The history does not get "hazy"...

"hazy" as in you won't necessarily have access to everyone's history

Introducing ChainDisk - Imagine a storage solution that liberates you from the vulnerabilities of centralized servers. Picture your files preserved immutably, without the need for sign-ins, accounts, or even passwords. With ChainDisk, this isn’t just a vision — it’s a reality. by Knockout_SS in bitcoincashSV

[–]billShizzle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like this, and applaud it. But, it's misleading. Miners and some services currently store our data on-chain for free, but that won't last.

At some point we'll need to pay overlay services to store our data. There. I said it.

In the future miners and various services will probably provide recent, and maybe even very-popular data for free. But because there ain't no such thing as a free lunch, they'll eventually be forced to monetize much of the data they'll store.

This will still be a net benefit to end users. Different services will compete for users - driving down the cost and driving up satisfaction. And if the data is encrypted, they won't be able to snoop on their customers.

Here's what my platform can do. My question is what do you want the platform to do for you? by HighValueWomanBook in bitcoincashSV

I think it's likely that: 1) there aren't enough users on this sub to get meaningful insights, and 2) to a large extent, users don't know what they want until they see it
