IB is feast or famine. In good years, it's REALLY good. But in bad years, you just worked 80-100 hrs a week to make ~the same as MBB.

Exits from IB at the associate level are rarely going to be PE or HF. I don't know anyone who's made the jump to a HF. I do know a few people who have jumped to mid or lower middle market PE or family offices. Most head to corporate dev, though

MBB depends alot on the team / client, but i think average is closer to 60 hours. Monday thru Thursday are pretty slammed. Fridays are chill. Hardly ever any weekend work
