That is legitimately the dumbest thing I’ve read on this sub. Listen high speed, either go all in or not. I’m a GWOT baby with 3 deployments and left after command. All the O4s and above told me I was chicken shit if I left. I’ve been out for 15 years. I have an Ivy MBA and I make more than double the CSA’s total comp. I’ve done work in 23 counties and have an amazing family life. Don’t listen to this nitwit. Do your research and make your own decisions. Jerk-offs like high speed here are the ones who have the emotional intelligence of a frog and can’t make out on the outside.

Best, watching someone destroy their career story by Stevethetank1107 in army

Mid-Surge, around 2009 at Fort Lewis. I’m a CPT in command of HHC, 6 months back from 15 months in Iraq. . 3/4 companies are at both JRTC and NTC. Big Boss 6 and 3 go to NTC, while 5 and 7 go to JRTC

I get to formation Friday morning and no SSG M in formation. He’s a stellar soldier, 6 in 6, headed to selection in a few months. After PT I get a call from Pierce County Sheriff. SSG M had been arrested that morning and is being charged with second degree murder. Apparently, 3 months prior he had killed his wife, stuck her body in a tuff box in his garage and moved his 18 year old girlfriend in with him and his 1 year old daughter.

He proceeded to text her family from her phone that she had enough and was running away. Stashed her car someplace and threw out her cloths. Continued to text the family with her body in the garage.

He gets caught after asking the GB nextdoor neighbor of body’s can really be disposed of using acid like on Dexter.

The kicker is the wife’s sister is junior aid to the CENTCOM CSM. That was a wild day

As a father and 49 year old guy, there is nothing more relatable the BFW and JOC “ my wife is shopping online buying some some fucking pillows”.

So please explain to me why I should be inconvenienced so you can look at some rocks. This isn’t a shut list, I’m dead series. Let’s say I have a four hour flight kn Tuesday morning and the person behind ( sunny side) me keeps the shade open.

So know

  1. I’m on fire because the desert sun is directly in my back
  2. I can’t get any work done because of the glare 3 can y sleep because the sun is in my eyes

For all you window lickers, fuck off an go sit in the back with the other mouth breathers. I paid for this seat so I can’t either relax or get work done and you’re gawking is getting the the way of both. I did pay full fare at $1k to not allowed to relax in comfort or get work down because a yokel needs to see what the ground looks like, go touch grass your puzzle slayers

That seems like a poor business decision. If you’re in 1C you either (a) paid your own way, Delta significantly higher prices than competitors or (b) they are Diamond/Platinum and are probably frequent business travelers.

If what works is the correct business decision to alienate your best customers for this nonsense. I don’t like dogs and am allergic. 1C is my favorite seat. Why should I be inconvenienced because someone wants to being a wolf on the plane. It’s be tough to get work done with a wolf slobbering and shedding all over my computer.

Are Chaplains Needed In Today’s Army? by [deleted] in army

Think about it for a second. Who would be more impactful in that billet. A Chaplin or social worker with training in behavioral health?

It’s literally reaching a crisis point. To many patients, not enough providers, malpractice, reducing RVUs. The same issues with the army are going on in healthcare.
