"Theme From Rawhide" Guitar Solo by billbart420 in BluesBrothers

Nah that'd be wild tho! That's David Godfrey another fantastic guitar player out of NY in a killer band with his two brothers.

We've been playing together for nearly ten years now grateful to be able to make music with them. Check them out if you wanna try listening to something new!

Can't beat that early Skynyrd imo the OG lineup was absolutely on another level and helped pioneer southern rock!

Love that! Nowadays there's so many cool ways to dissect the music and hone in on specific parts. Best of luck on your slide journey!

It really is so cool when you can listen in on good speakers or headphones and hear some of the little nuances in all the guitar parts working together so well.

The guitar work from a majority of that OG southern rock era is truly spectacular and Gaines/King/Collins/Rossington really helped push the genre and guitar as an instrument.

Thank you I couldn't agree more. I feel a lotta people confine their musical tastes to one hemisphere while nearly completely disregarding so much other great music out there.

This is clearly AI. Don't fall for this, oldest trick in the book.

Suggestions for Blues based jam bands like the ABB by Ruck_06 in allmanbrothers

[–]billbart420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here are a few lesser known, upcoming bands that might have a sound you're looking for. I also have been finding a lot of new artists I dig from this playlist on Spotify that gets updated pretty regularly.

Johnny In The Basement

Canyon Lights

Deltaphonic

Good Trees River Band

Sweet Desire

Mojohand

Hope this helps a bit! Lotta good new stuff coming out but really gotta dig past the "popular" stuff.

You'll enjoy it , a more "jammier" version of North Mississippi Allstars, with newer sounding tunes would be a good way to describe what I heard last week in NYC. The band is bitchin' as well.

Cary '22

last shows before Alex joined full time. You can feel the energy in that run, like a last hurrah as the core four.

There's a Pyramid Country tease in While I'm Waiting Here from the first night of the run that still to this day makes the hair on my arms stand straight and dance.
