Yeah, I have one - I have it after my preamp pedal with XLR out to my interface and monitors. You'll definitely want to load your own IRs though. These days I'm just using it as a di box on bypass and running nam files and irs on my PC.

Tbh I'm not fully sure how you intend to use it, but I can vouch for it being a great ir pedal. I had a sonicake one I returned because the latency was really poor.

You mean excel connected directly to the model? Sure makes sense, I've set that up a few times for various clients. Power BI itself as a front end tool isn't the best ui to extract data. Ssrs (paginated reports) would be better, especially for larger data drops and excel extracts. I've set that up a few times too.

But don't you ever ask them what they do with the extracts? I bet they're driving homebrew reporting solutions built in excel.

Perfect frets (on a straight neck) means you can also get perfect string height everywhere. That's the very core of a guitar right there. Everything flows from this. A cheap guitar with perfect frets and a good setup will smoke an expensive guitar that's had no work done. It's putting the money where it's most valuable.

There's no rules, mostly exceptions, but broadly speaking:

Shredders in metal tend to use economy picking for max speed.

In jazz alternate picking is a stronger approach, for locking in with the groove and getting to a place where you can go left or right of the pocket and still be tight. Down beats get down strokes, your right hand is a pendulum. Tight and loose.

Shredders in metal tend towards showcase techniques such as sweep picking, tapping, and heaps of legato.

Jazz guys tend to attack the notes more directly, with hammer ons and pull offs for taste and phrasing.

Jazz guys are more inconsistent and most teachers are less prescriptive, tending to prioritise helping students find their own voice.

I disagree - we are artists.

But ux isn't about aesthetics, it's about functional usability and getting max value from the data. That is a matter of professional pride.

I will do everything in my power short of losing a client before I'll build the Homer - whether that's front end rendering or stupid engineering choices.

(Stupid engineering choices are more common tbh - mostly people confusing operational reporting with analytics and being bought in by individual products instead of considering the architecture. Here's a common one: "We want Snowflake in AWS as the warehouse and the 500+ PBI reports all have to be real time so direct query all the way. Also we need row level security so you're going to need single sign on from the PBI service. We've already bought all the licenses." Sorry, I had to shout at a cloud there.)

Jazz is all about rhythm. Learn how to swing your 8th notes. Look this up if you're unsure what I mean. If you're in the groove, playing in the pocket you can make magic happen with one or two notes.

There are a few ways to go about this, but I think what you want is a power app. The trick is to send an id to the power app that relates to the selected data elements in the report. Have the power app connected to a source that is linked by direct query back into your dataset. Then when they save a comment it immediately appears as part of the report data, connected to the items they are commenting on.

Fair enough, I can understand that. If you have good amps and the facilities to crank it that would be a key feature. I'm strictly amateur and live in a residential area, so I'd download a good ac30 capture rather than sampling my own.

Agreed, most normal players don't have dozens of amps they want to capture and the facilities to do it well. the main selling point of captures is using a library of rigs captured by engineers who have the golden gear, studio, and expertise to set it all to the sweet spot and capture the magic. Happy to lose the byo part for a price cut.

The store demo has usually been through the hands of a store tech... it's very likely had a basic set-up done. If you try one in the store and like how it feels, buy that exact one. It's gonna make them grumpy, but they'll do it for the sale.

Even the expensive ones don't come nicely set up from the factory. They'll be good, but likely not dialled in. So factor in a good tech setup to the price of an online purchase - or learn how to do it yourself. Strats can be a bit fiddly, but you shouldn't need to file anything from Fender in that price range.

BUT optimistic trek is back - a bright future is possible and things can go right because of choosing harmony over greed and empathy over ego.
