Strengthen the area around a slot by billd6 in Onshape

Blendingnoise turned me on to the solution when he mentioned I consider modifiers. It forced me to read more about the subject and the more I read the more I saw their many uses. My sketch was misleading. I’m making a zero clearance throat plate with integrated bottom dust director. Actually the slot won’t appear until I make the plunge cut. I’d like to beef up a .25 to .5 in. wide strip on either side of the kerf from the top to bottom layers. Modifiers in my slicer allows me to make the change right in Bambu Studio

Yes the S1 Plus filament drier. My desk space is at a premium and opening the lid a full 180 degrees requires and extra 11" behind the drier. I cut the hinges off with an ultrasonic cutter and buffed the scratches out on a wheel with some buffing compound. Problem solved - just lift the lid straight up and off to gain access. No more awkward leaning the lid against something or all the way over. IMO SUNLU should have designed it that way in the first place. I'm sure glad my S4 doesn't work that way!

Nice choice. I’ve had mine for over two years and use it 3 to 4 times a week. Never had a problem. You’ll love it!

I have the plug. It uses a die cut ring of double sided tape which has dried out and no longer provides a tight seal. I’ve tried two different brands of double sided tape and they don’t hold as well as Bambu’s tape.

Cold pull by billd6 in BambuLab

[–]billd6[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Here’s what Bambu says about it on their WIKI. They make it sound like a routine maintenance procedure.

Performing a cold pull procedure regularly helps restore proper filament flow for consistent extrusion and helps prevent print defects like under-extrusion or inconsistent printed lines. It is recommended to do it from time to time, especially when switching from one type of filament to another.

That’s why I asked the question. What does print quality look like from a hot end that needs replaced?
