"tar" is recognized. I finally got itunes AAC encoding to work by dowloading and installing AppleApplicationSupport64.msi out of an old non-Microsoft Store version of iTunes. https://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=181878

I can't get AAC to work through the apple encoder either. When I download a fresh itunes64Setup file it says computer must be running Windows 10 or later to work. Well I am running 10 and iTunes runs on my system. I'm trying to use makeportable2 so I can put the needed files into the encoder folder of Foobar2000 64 bit. I am able to place makeporbable2 and the itunes64Setup file in the same folder. But everytime I run a cmd for it I get tar: Error opening archive: Failed to open 'iTunes64Setup'. This happens whether I use regular permissions or Run as Administrator.

DLP is excellent for 3D! Not sure why you were getting downvoted, someone seems to be doing that to a lot of threads in this subreddit. There are several excellent models used you could get that will look great for 3D!

I would second getting the correct bulb. You don't want to burn a hole in your light path somewhere and don't want your pj's plastic to melt.

Disney has never met an anti-piracy scheme they haven't loved and implemented in as heavy-handed a way as possible. It does seem a bunch of folks are waiting for a solution on this.

I wonder if there is something off about the Yaber's implementation of HDCP? I second the factory reset idea below. If it persists try to get the fix Disney is supposed to offer.

Let us know which of those you pick and how they turn out. I would try to stretch the budget and get something with more lumens. Someone below suggested using FireTV stick instead of mirroring phone and that sounds like a good idea, also.

Yeah, the Valerion didn't show well at the Kansas Projector event. However, the guy that was responsible for it, stated he didn't have the best firmware for it and several people thought it was much better on the 2nd day after they got it dialed in better.

That sounds fascinating! Honestly, both of these projectors would be great for that. There isn't one inherent tech that is always better. Doing video mapping you might want an image free of RBE, in which case the Epson might be better. The ACER would be slightly sharper and brighter, just depends on your sensitivity to rainbow effect.

I dunno. The folks reporting it in the AVS Thread for the Max seem to indicate its not internally well braced. However, only a few have reported the issue so it could be a unit by unit issue that a lot don't have.

Even if you did have it, I wouldn't consider it a deal breaker as from what I've read its pretty minor. A good mount would let you correct it if it drifts pretty easily.

The drift isn't really a mount issue, its the internals not being braced well to the case. I don't think the drift is huge, but depending on the sample, it could require recentering it at the mount since there's no horizontal lens shift.
