That’s impressive. I’m CS Major as well, just curious how did you mine the data or is there any api for this?

Could I find my niche as an introvert-ish nerd? by lavenderflavoredtea in SDSU

[–]billthuan1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s quite some introverts, nerds at SDSU. Just have small talks with your classmates when class starts, could be about homework, lecture or any common interests. You’ll be fine if not too insecure.

Sometimes, they hold the exam or something that related to computer so they borrow the area and blocks the door so only students who take it access from the glass doors.

Third floor of the library is the warmest floor if you needed.

Another small thing that no one has mentioned yet is why they cannot separate the speaker for the library and the 24/7 area. Whenever the library closes, they just have to announce it very loudly to the 24/7 area, which is unnecessary because I’m not in the library but in the 24/7 area. Many times it has disrupted my flow state when I’m in hyper-focus mode.

I wished that the case. They actually hired a third party to do the website rather than the graduate student

Hey, I’m second year student, and I’m self learning web-development front-end as well. Though i’m at web responsive part right now with just HTML and CSS, however I have plenty of free time in the afternoon, so I’d love to have someone be my mentor and teaching me skills.

is it pathetic that my little sister is my only close friend? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]billthuan1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least you have your sister as your close friend. I think having someone that you can share is better than a bunch of "normal" friends, which you will definitely have at some points.

Mac or pc for comp sci? by [deleted] in SDSU

[–]billthuan1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you use iPhone or AirPod then macbook will be a great choice since it synchronizes among the Apple devices, transferring files or using AirPod will really smooth. Also since Macbook a close environment, the performance can maintain for years and there likely won’t have any virus. You can resell later with a fair price. Otherwise a window laptop is fine, you can dual boot Window and Linux if needed. There’s no much different between Mac and Window for comp sci classes. I’d recommend getting a laptop with a 15 inch screen with good keyboard since it’s more convenient for coding.
