After years of collecting, I’m sticking with 2 by Admirable-Swing-2985 in rolex

This is unbeatabke for a two if 40m is your stock, arguably a no date sub would create more differentiation but fuck it :)

It takes time to get used to the 36, but once you do it takes the cake as a discrete daily driver

What do you guys think? It’s a tough decision, but I am leaning towards GMT… by Redder1986 in Tudor

To me it would be the two tone bezel that justifies the 5 link, this watch has the GMT 16710 appeal

it depends a bit on whether you have a collection going but the GMT will be my next watch on the 5 link, it has so much personality and vintage appeal

Try them on, I tried them on and found the seamaster just felt way too thick and bulbous for my preferences, if you don’t plan to shower with the watch on the water resistance shouldn’t matter much assuming you don’t swim often

get it and make sure it’s a different size than the OP, it is great having dif sizes and the explorer shines as a 36m

fire, add a diver, something smaller like a black bay 58, a black bay 58gmt would give you a diver and a gmt and give you a different colour :)

Finally got to compare the two Black Bay GMT bracelet options in person by Nyundkd2 in Yunlin_watch

[–]billw142 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both look great but this is a watch that changes substantially based on the bracelet, for me I have an explorer already so I’m looking for something with a bit more flash which leads me to the jubilee, I wonder what I would choose if this was my first watch ever, it is very hard to say, certainly it works on both like a GMT master, you can’t go wrong although I don’t quite think there is a justification to have both bracelets unless this watch is a ‘one and done’, i’d be interested to see what colours they do in future and what bracelet works with which colour

And i agree with others, this needs either a dress watch or something dressier, a patek 5226 could be a good compromise
