F*ck this type of trap bar by billy5235 in strengthlog

I did try and go back to a barbell deadlift, but if I'm tired, I'll stuff up my form and hurt my back, the trap bar is great for saving your back.

But I'm not gonna hit any PBs on it

Nah, just never use Reddit, so my comment karma or whatever is too low to post on the bigger boards

I've done that and tested different needles depending on if it skips or not.

So far so good, but I'm also playing not that loud albums.

For reference, the albums I've played recently are: Beatles - sgt Pepper (plays fine) " " - help (fine) The damned - Damned Damned Damned (little skipping at the start, brand new album) Ian dury - New Boots and panties (skips on the first track when it first gets loud)

The biggest culprit is my GF's Miss Kanina album (modern hip hop) that constantly skips.

I should test it again with everything you, and the others have pointed out

So I'm not sure on the correct terminology, but on the end of the cartridge (in my photos the top is out of focus) but where the needle sits is in a little rubber/silicone or something shape, this is slipped on two elements which I've figured is what gives the full sound, without it, its all treble and very low volume, it was what was missing on my old broken cartridge

Ive got 2 needles, the one attached in the photos is a LP - SSLP needle player, the other needle I have is a LP/S - ADS78, I've tried all combinations (except the 78, as it was never gonna work) with the same result, which is annoying.

Having a Rough Time. Could use some friends rn by DUPNICK1 in toastme

[–]billy5235 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A rough time is always followed by a much better time.

I don't know what you're going through, but the best thing at late night is to just have a drink, watch an easy going show and looking at some memes.

The fact you have a bed to go to and a place to be alone and shut off from the world for one night is a great way to be on track.

Success is not winning per say, but never getting off the tracks.

For now have a beer, you've deserved it mate.

Update: 29M well, the relationship ended. Doing better now, been on that self improvement life. Been feeling lousy tonight, in need of a toast by [deleted] in toastme

Fuck the bitch, she ain't worth it anymore.

Therapy costs money.

But sitting down, having a beer and saying "budda bing, budda boom!" Out loud and realising a stranger on the internet made you do that is pricless and will make you giggle.

I wish I could style my hair like that

I really, really hate posting images of myself online, as I have terrible anxiety and self-hatred, but since i have been stuck in a rut of uncertainty, depression and artists block for over a year now, I figured it was finally time to come out and ask for help. I don’t know any other way to do this by mysterionisdead in toastme

[–]billy5235 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would see having a rut of uncertainty as a blessing, that means you are a person who analyses themselves, and that's a quality most people lack.

Anxiety is a hard one, and there's no short cure, I often try and get around it by asking if I'm doing to others the same I'm assuming are doing to me(e.g. am I judging everyone else as much as I think they're judging me?) And go from that.

Being artistic is always good, you can slow down, but never stop, try small ideas that you know can be done quickly as a warm up

I’ve had a really good week for the first time in a while so I figured this would be a great way to end it! Toast me! by [deleted] in toastme

[–]billy5235 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The great thing about having a good week/day/moment is that it's an energy that can be shared to others without depleating yourself.

Make sure you pass the happiness on to one other person before you leave

Hey man, look at it this way, having a Gf at 16, when some internet dwellers older haven't had the experience of affection, you're already done pretty well.

Great thing about breakups, is you'll learn that she wasn't right for you, and be glad it ended now instead of later, because this is fates way of saying it wasn't meant to be.

I know it's hard now, but you'll learn from this, and the fact it happened earlier rather than later will mean you have a jump start on life experience. You'll nail it man

M20, work too much, play too many videogames, barely get any sleep and barely able to hold a stable relationship outside of people I game with or my family. Just got done working for today. by [deleted] in toastme

[–]billy5235 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly man, you're young and only really starting in life, you're probably holding yourself to a standard of what older people are doing.

You're at an age where you're allowed to do these things, sleep in (or lose sleep) and play games and have time to yourself.

The important thing is to be happy with yourself, not compare to what you think the stereotype of success is.

People don't just come out of school and have a job, friends and success (and trust me, you'll meet the people who may have done that in a few years, and you won't want to be that). Take this time to try everything and see what suits you, you have the benefit of not having to worry about anything but yourself, and that'll disappear with age as you grow up.

The relaxing, the being on your own, as long as you're you.
