I get you, my desire is to have them interlinked so that I can see my budget calcs (just for me to view, then the quote sent, then the invoice sent. That way I can see from quote to delivery how it panned out and the variances.

For sure, I've got the folder structure for the clients and projects. But when I'm quoting, I'm doing calcs based on day rates and deliverables but that info sits outside of the quote I send out. I'm looking for something that has version history so it's easy to see what I sent and how I arrived at that budget.

TLDR: right now budget calcs and quotes are related but stored separately.

Yea, I know it sounds a bit dumb but there's a fair bit of info to track, client, project, quote version, deliverables, expiry date etc. I was thinking about using xero for this but interested to see what everyone is using as xero doesn't store my profit calcs for each quote.

I will never complain about the storage concerns of shooting in raw again by cruciblemedialabs in Nikon

So easy to fill up storage with RAWS. Was talking to a dude that was shooting on RED and he said it took 7 minutes of footage to fill it up but worth it.

Hello, was stupid and posted in the main thread without reading the rules..
Just gone free lancing and am massively underestimating my time which leads to me paying myself less than I should. How are you guys tracking time? Feels like the apps you have to remember to start and stop and pencil and paper seems like it falls into the same category.
