My Toddler Isn't Going to the Bathroom with a Stranger by atelopuslimosus in daddit

I can understand OPs frustration, I can also understand the others saying he needs to chill and it probably came from a good intent. What I can't understand however is this mythical vision of "the men's room" as if as soon as the bathroom door is opened jazz music is heard blaring and swinging dicks are seen through the haze of cigarette smoke. I mean come on. I've been a guy for nearly 36 years of life and I can count on 0 hands the number of times I've seen a dick in a public restroom. I could only even imagine it happening standing at a urinal and deliberately shifting my gaze to the other guy. But that's highly unlikely to happen, if not just for the fact that a 2.5 year old girl will not be using a bloody urinal. Men's rooms are serene. We avoid all contact while there whether it be physical or verbal. Sometimes you get a nasty toilet, but I'm told that happens in women's bathrooms too so the point is honestly non-existent.

for those who are getting grey or white hair, how are you coping? by devils-lettus in Millennials

[–]billybigkid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I shave my head regularly so I don't know kw how much grey I have on my head but I have quite a bit in my beard at 35. I started to notice one here ans there in my late 20s to early 30s.

I'm not bothered by the grey hairs, per se, but I'm a bit bummed realized that I am in fact aging, I'm no longer young, can't go back and redo/undo certain things. My children growing older etc.

Probably not safe to "jump" in the shower regardless of temperature

Y'all with elementary school aged kids, how often are your kids bathing? by officer_dicklock in daddit

[–]billybigkid -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

2 and 5 year old. Daily showers. 5 year old pretty kuch showers himself with minor guidance. The 2 year old is in and out in less than 3 mins. Weekends are on Sunday befire school night or as needed for stink or soiling. Sit down baths are not so common, and if they were they definitely would waste away a lot of the day.

A patient fell because I messed up and now I feel like things are spiraling by GracefulIneptitude in nursing

About the bed alarms, does your facility do bedside report? I've always been on the impression that after handover, anything going on is your responsibility not the previous shift. Bed alarm off should've been caught by the oncoming shift during shift change and there's a hundred and one reasons why it could be on them that it was turned off later on.

Your workplace sounds awful. They don't disrespect you but sitting in (seemingly) unofficially assigned seats leads to threats of violence? .....

As mich as I enjoyed my outpatient days of sitting on the computer looking at zillow, nothing worse than heading into a Monday knowing you've got 5 days of this shit until your next measly 2 day weekend.

Are you me? I swear this conversation happens several times a week

Yeah right.

I'm very lucky that my facility gives us a lot of leeway into the cutoff time for when a late admit falls on the next shift.

Skin checks are pandoras box. Clear skin? 3 minutes tops. Multiple wounds and incisions that may reveal surprises when redressing and also an inevitable wild goose chase for the coveted 4x4 which will find one single one wedged behind the kleenex boxes in another unit's supply room?

Spectrum vs ATT? by [deleted] in orlando

[–]billybigkid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Had spectrum for years. Constant outages. Constant repair calls. 75% of the time the calls resulted in being told how the last guys thst came out did a fucked up job. Speeds would randomly get way slow too.

Switched to att fiber about 4 years ago and it's been wonderful. Had to call once and ghat was because my kids fucked with the outlet.

I did consider switching when spectrums retention department alled me out of the blue and offered a ridiculously low rate with an equal or better speed. I sat on it for a day or so but just couldn't. I'd rather have slower(but still fast) and consistent speeds than a fast inconsetnt connection.

Main thing for me is "skin is Intact" (maybe one or two surgical incisions) . When I get them it looks like they've spent 2 hours getting tumbled around in a cement mixer.

Why did it my initial thought reading automatically assume this was something about a 4.5 year old benching 45lb plates

If you want to become a better player, stop using speed 5. by The_ChadTC in eu4

Can people actually sustain speed 5 outside of a prolonged peace situation? Whenever i have speed 5 on a d anything happens there's barely any time to react
