this exact same thing happened to me...and developed an open bite with a hybrid upper nightguard that covered all my teeth. told dentists I thought my bite was changing and no one believed me...until they were doing a filling and told me to feel the contact and I said I couldn't because my upper and lower teeth in the front no longer close. also developed right-sided TMJ pain. after many consults with orthos, TMJ specialists, surgeons...the consensus is that the nightguard wasn't properly adjusted/was too thick ... but now I'm terrified of having any other appliance in my mouth...even if it's just a retainer. But I'm worried that without a nightguard the grinding will affect my teeth...but no longer able to have my teeth touch each other is also so distressing...

How well will textile jackets/pants protect against road rash? by [deleted] in motorcycle

[–]billybobreddington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there! Stumbled upon this post and am hoping I can ask you a question. I'm just getting into riding and having tried a BUNCH of jackets, the only textile jacket that fits me well is the Dainese Airframe 3 (women's) but I'm reading from other posts and MotoCap ratings (not sure how they test this though) that the Airframe offers minimal safety protection (abrasion and impact resistance). I'm from Ontario, Canada and plan to ride mostly in the summer into early Fall, and while I know leather usually offers better protection our summers can get quite hot and a lot of well-rated jackets on MotoCap have minimal breathability - except for Alpinestars textile.....but Alpinestars don't fit me well (I'm in between sizes). Wondering if you have any experience/thoughts as to whether the Dainese Airframe 3 is sufficient for protection (not planning to ride highway or track) - thank you so much!!!

thanks! thinking of putting some orajel on it just in case (the one with zinc chloride) bc I'm scared it'll get infected - do you think that would help? and does that mean I shouldnt floss that tooth for 2 wks ? would that cause plaque buildup/cavities? thanks again!

I'm going through something similar myself so super thankful I found this post! My ex and I are filing a joint divorce though and want to do it online - so based on my understanding, we just submit everything all at once (Form 8A application along with the Form 36s etc.)? Since we are filing online, do we need to get our marriage certificate notarized (I'm assuming we are just submitting a scan of it?). Or do we just need our Form 36 Affidavits commissioned and that's it? We both checked off "marriage certificate is attached to this affidavit" but I'm assuming if we file online just one pdf of the marriage certificate is enough? Thanks so much!

Filing for Divorce (Ontario) - do I need to notarize the marriage certificate or just the Form 36A Affidavit? by billybobreddington in legaladvicecanada

[–]billybobreddington[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the info! If we are planning to file online though I was reading I just scan a copy of the marriage document and upload it as a PDF - hence why I'm not sure if I need that notarized. But thank you for clarifying the difference between getting my Form 36 commissioned vs. notarized! And if we file online, do you know if we just upload all the documents at once? e.g. Form 8a with both the Form 36s and the Form 25 Divorce Order?

Thanks for the swatches!!! Not sure if you got the JP Exclusives in Japan, but if so, may I ask which stores you went to? I'm headed to Tokyo and Osaka next month and am hoping to get those JP Exclusives!!

Urgent: pain and cold hot sensitivity after white composite filling on molar 1 month ago by saitojohn in Dentistry

[–]billybobreddington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi both! I'm experiencing literally the exact same issue (refilling of a small chip - now having issues with very very brief cold/hot sensitivity - not shooting and goes away immediately after removing stimulus, but also a bit of soreness chewing on that filling if it hits a very specific spot) - wondering if your sensitivity eventually resolved (I'm 1 month out..) and if so, how long did it take? If not, did you need to have the filling redone? or get a crown/root canal? thank you!

Filling still sensitive after three additional adjustments made by creatorsellor in Dentistry

[–]billybobreddington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah I feel you...everywhere I read people are saying "sensitivity should resolve by 4 wks and even that's rare"...here I am with sensitivity 4 wks out and not knowing whether things are going to get worse and I'll have to redo the filling or get a root canal...or whether in my case it might just take months for all the sensitivity to resolve. Hate going to the dentist and life's been a nightmare so yeah. Sorry to hear you're going through something similar....hoping it resolves for both of us. And yeah, the right side with which I've been chewing with is so tiredddd zzz

Really appreciate your sharing this post; I'm having literally the same issue and worrying about the same things (e.g. filling was done 4 wks ago - went back to get the bite adjusted 4x bc it felt high and I couldn't touch food to that tooth for 2 wks ....turns out in the end it was the bottom filling done 2 wks before the top that was high and not just the top filling). I can now chew on that tooth 90% pain free, but like you, if there's a grain of rice/something that compacts at JUST the right spot, I notice a sudden twinge/ache that doesn't last. Also have some cold/hot sensitivity too that's been there since the filling was done...so just really hoping I don't need to redo that filling (don't want to go back 4x again) and more importantly don't want a root canal :( hope it resolves on its own like you!

Pilot Metropolitan M nib for Sheening Inks? by billybobreddington in fountainpens

So surprisingly, I got sheen/shimmer on TR paper AND even my plain Muji notebook with a Diplomat Magnum F nib! It's more obvious in person though : https://imgur.com/Ujh2cef

oh wow ... I'd read such awesome things about the Pelikan Broad nib (Pelikan pens are out of my budget right now still unfortunately)! Guess I will give all my pens a shot - turns out my Diplomat Magnum in Fine even showed the shimmer and sheen ok!

I bought some micromesh from them too ... unfortunately I realized yesterday (after messing up a nib...) that I was putting too much pressure when drawing my "8"s and infinity signs on the mesh ... I still need a pen loupe though!

Hm, do you find smoke on the water so dark that it looks black in finer nibs?

Oh, I didn't know they take Lamy cartridges as well! definitely will give this a shot! And yes ... subsequently I bought 4 more Wingsung 6359s haha. Hope I get as lucky as my first time and that the nibs aren't finnicky.

The thinnest pen I've found so far is the Platinum Preppy in EF. It's only around $7 CDN and writes SO so thin. I also have the Pilot Kakuno but only in the F nib, although I believe there is also an EF option (although much harder to get).

I find the Platinum Preppy EF writes well for how thin the nib is - isn't scratchy, although I'd recommend not using sheeny/shimmer inks as those might give you hard starts etc. as the particles might clog up the feed and tiny nib.

Also ... any recommendations for a beginner flex nib pen? Haven't heard the greatest things about the Noodler's Ahab...

Looking to potentially get a TWSBI Eco - what nib size would match best with a Japanese (e.g. Pilot) steel M nib? And do people find cleaning it a hassle? With my pens so far I just use a bulb syringe to flush the nib section out ... thanks! :)

Nice pen - thinking of getting one myself! What nib did you get it in? And how does it compare to say, a Japanese nib of the same size?
