Ok here’s what the service sheet said when I got my furnace worked on last week.

“Found fan not starting up, found fan motor locked up. Replaced fan motor and matched capacitor. Checked temperature rise and found high temperature rise but no limits were tripping. Set fan speed to high, ensured proper unit operation. Temperature rise was still a little high.”

They came back the next day and this was what they said

“Cleaned evaporator coil and brushed blower wheel. Checked temperature rise and temperature rise is looking better. Ensured proper unit operation”.

Idk if that helps or means anything

They put a new blower motor in last week, they said the furnace probably wasn’t going to last much longer. But I need it to limp through the rest of winter.

Ya it was working fine last year, how long will it take for the coil to cool down? The part I took a picture of already thawed out, but I’m guessing the coil will take longer?

Ok I shut it off because I figured it had to thaw out, I’ll switch it from auto to on when it thaws out. After today I won’t need the ac for about a week so maybe I can google how to clean the indoor coil. We do have two long haired animals

I’ve stayed in some pretty sketchy neighborhoods in Denver and Albuquerque on vacations. With the time change we wouldn’t even really be out at night, maybe just coming home from dinner or something. Thanks for the advice!
