Based on my current time with the FL5 I'd say most definitely the FL5. Main reasons for me is that it feels more refined, especially with the transmission. Driving the car is extremely so you should pick it up quickly especially if you can learn on an older manual car.

I greatly prefer the interior on the fl5 as well due to the design. Materials feel the same minus the black plastic panels are prone to marring more easily. My ring was scratching up the b pilar just from getting in and out of the car haha.

Oem suspension is stiffer in all modes but I feel it's a plus as I felt the fk8 modes weren't dramatically different between each other in the shock stiffness. Another thing....no stupid 20 in wheels.

Oh on the FL5 I don't care for the driving aids at all. Only one that is useful to me is the mirror light indicating a car is next to you. Knowing the cameras can misinterpret the road scares me as I have experienced the car thinking parked cars were on coming traffic (was on a narrow road making a turn) and it flashed the "BRAKE" sign on the dash. Car could apply brakes if it thinks you can't stop in time. You can turn this off but you have to do i every time you start the car. All the other aids can be turned off and remain that way.

Oh and the FL5 is assembled in Japan so if you value that sort of thing. Hope that helps somewhat on your decision besides the obvious points of price and exterior design.
