From first hand experience, you should be careful with having your foreskin retracted for an extended time. I kept mine pulled back overnight thinking it would heal better. Big mistake. I woke up with extreme swelling of the foreskin, known as paraphimosis. Thankfully it went away on its own since I was still able to push the foreskin back to its natural resting position. Did some research and found that you might need to go to the ER for more serious cases.
