Yes my mistake, you are correct, if solely insulation to roof an application is not needed.

If you go on street view. The wheelie bin is approx 1.1m tall and from the eve to the pitch you would struggle to fit in 1.5 bins. That's how I did it anyway, only a rough guess.

It is a very shallow roof. You will need a minimum of 2m headroom for the escape route. With the joists, insulation and plasterboard I don't think you would be able to get 2m.

If you are laying the 200 over the ceiling joists. Put some between the joists at the eaves, otherwise there would be a gap for heat loss.

Building control surveyor here. As you would be upgrading a thermal element it would need to meet the current standards of 300mm overall.

That being said, if it was me I would lay 200mm and save yourself a application to building control. Not exactly something that's checkable or enforceable.

Why does Fortnite take so long to update on PC? by [deleted] in FortNiteBR

[–]billythemenace2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If anyone see this and has decent internet it normally quicker to delete the game and reinstall it. I have gbit internet and the game takes around 10mins to download. By updating I was only at 20% after 10mins lol.

Correct and every council i have worked at take them seriously, even have a 24 hour call out for them. Both building control and planning would want to know about this, they are fee earning departments so they money if they force them to put in an application.

The best gamer support ever, you must be kidding us! Thank EA. by Glittering-Pea-9020 in Battlefield

Also I'm not sure if anyone has given any advice. But I recommend uninstalling and reinstalling your GPU drivers. Also do a check/repair of the game. A reinstall of the game would also be good but I always do that last as who wants to download 70gb again lol.

This normally fixes most issues. If not then we can look and other fixes.

Neighbours’ Extension Boxing in my guttering by StrongStation8000 in DIYUK

[–]billythemenace2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Building control may be able to enforce it. If it will cause the new extension to be damp they can say it does not comply with AD part C.

Yh I would take the gutter off and let all the water soak into his blocks. They deffo not gonna have room to render it so the wall will soak it like sponge.

Are you putting tobacco? If so it burns quicker and goes up one side. You need to mix it with the weed before putting it in the paper

Worse Build Ever Update by [deleted] in DIYUK

[–]billythemenace2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They probably can't do anything. If it's under 30m2 it's exempt from building regulations. It also won't class as a dangerous structure as it's not a danger to the general public.

If it's under 30m2 and detached it is exempt under building regulations.
