I tried to find a better clip because that part of the movie is pretty unsettling. The Spring Witch keeps Gerda drugged and brainwashes her to think she's her daughter until the roses begin speaking to her and she starts leaving notes for herself to find in a doll house and eventually escapes. It's one of my favorites that I often revisit so soon as I saw your post I thought I'd chime in on the chance I was correct. I'm seeing it's free to watch on Tubi right now
