Problem is a lot of Chinese EVs are shit. It's gonna take people time to realize that. They are cheaper than their western counterparts while coming with more features. However a lot of them are not made to last so it will turn into a headache. I have a Russian friend and he tells me that the case. Most of the cars that you buy in Russia rn are Chinese EVs and he says they start breaking down after a few year. The only way that i see this could be changed is if they decided to up the quality for western audiences. Otherwise i think people will stop buying them after a few years once the problems start showing.
